This company is like no other I've experienced. When I contacted the office, a rep advised me of the basics, which included charging a minor fee for the consultation (if the company wasn't awarded the contract). Otherwise, the fee would be included with the work agreement. I also understood that it may take a few weeks to get a site visit because of a recent hurricane that destroyed a lot of property. We continued the discussion and I advised the rep that I had a few boards (6ft pressure treated) on my fence that needed to be replaced. So, I receive a quote on a Tuesday afternoon for slightly less than $1200. I called the office the next day to discuss the quote and had to leave a message for the rep. Six days later, I get a call back and I explain my concern. The rep stated "ok, I see the quote and it's a mistake. You have quite a few boards that need to be replaced so the price should be $680". I was in shock and said that I only had 6-8 broken boards at the most...that's not 'quite a few'. The rep proceeded to tell me that "a crew needs to be sent to the site; therefore, just to get the crew on the job cost $250. Plus the labor and materials. I advised the rep that I understood their process, even if I disagreed. However, my major issue is that it took six days for a return call...after I received the quote that had to be a mistake. "Sir, we have a lot of clients". I repeated myself "I understand but six days!" At that point, I advised the rep just to send me the bill for the consultation fee so I could pay it and never call for their service again. read more
