For a Californian, you forget what a Smokey place bars used to be...and still are in a lot of states! That would be my only complaint here. The bar has a pool table and large dance floor. There is an electronic juke box, but everyone was watching the Olympics the day we were there. The bar was well stocked, but I'm pretty sure all the beers are in bottles or cans, didn't see any taps. But like I said, the mixed drinks were a heavy pour!

They were extremely gracious in accommodating my vegan boyfriend. They grilled some vegetables in olive oil for him and served them with fresh tomatoes and cucumbers. This place is a find! If you are passing through this area, where there is little from which to choose, the Painted Pony Grill is a winner. The building has rustic charm, but it is very clean inside. We stopped into the Imperial Club hoping they might serve food since we were starving and there was…read morelimited choices in town at 3pm on a Monday. The bartender, who turned out to be one of the owners, Jan greeted us. She told us they did not serve food, but...if we wanted to call in an order to the restaurant across the street, 511 Main, they would give us a 10% discount AND deliver to us at the bar. Sweet! She provided us with a menu and we called in our order and had a couple of beers while we waited for our food to be delivered. Once the waitress from the restaurant showed up with our order, Jan offered to pay our bill in cash and she would just add it to our tab, simplifying the whole transaction for everyone involved. We GREATLY appreciated this since we were paying with a card. During our time in the Imperial we chatted with Jan and some of her other patrons as well as got to get to know her two adorable pups, Belle and Reo (as in Speedwagon). We are SO GLAD we stumbled upon this place and hope to be back again one day.
