This store is amply stocked with a range of fresh organic fruits and veges, herbal supplements, lovely looking makeup, skin and hair care, cleaning products, teas, meats, snacks, sauces and breads. (Phew!) They also have this fantastic back section dedicated to bulk foods. (Think LSA mix, fruits, nuts, flaxseed meal, seeds and other natural goodies.) Be sure to try out their range of made to order fresh juices as well as the yummy organic takeaway lunches (vegan and gluten free!) With the busy lifestyle I lead, I often get caught up eating on the run and not really making the best choices about my diet. I think I will incorporate Sun & Earth into my weekly grocery shopping routine to make the health kick habitual. Believe me, the produce in Sun & Earth is enough to make your mouth water as much as any burger shop walk-by. Less than a year old, and conveniently located on 198 Wynnum Road (Next to Active Life Fitness), this little shop stocks everything you need in terms of supplements. All kinds of protein powders, "muscle gainers", fat loss supplements, creatines, "pre workouts", as well as your basic gym wear. Baily, the owner and operator was really helpful in advising me of which product I should buy. I explained that I wasn't really into becoming the next Mr Olympia, but more about ensuring my protein intake throughout the day was enough to keep the muscles "repairing" and "growing", whilst maintaining a leaner physique. I was interested in a "Whey Protein Isolate" (WPI), and was drawn to the amazing price of a "100% pure WPI" Protein from NZ, which sells for $39.99 for 1kg. If you know anything about Protein supplements, then you'll know this is an absolute bargain! As I was concerned with the taste (this brand being "unflavoured"), Baily let me try the product, and kindly made me some in a shaker. It tasted fine. IN fact, we talked about how most other Protein powders do add "flavours" and "additives", whereas the "100% pure WPI" was all natural. I also asked about Creatine Monohydrate, and again, Baily explained to me what Creatine is, what it does, its benefits, etc. He recommended another pure, natural product from Germany, which I decided to also purchase. I appreciated the fact that I didn't feel pressure at all to buy anything, or to buy a particular product/brand. I signed up as a member of Supplement Shop (it's free), in order to receive the discounts on future purchases. They also do free delivery within Brisbane, if you order before 10am. If you can't visit their store, definitely jump online and browse their products. Their prices are one of, if not, the cheapest anywhere in Australia. I spoke to a lovely young lady named Simone who encouraged me to come in and try a protein drink they mix themselves and so I did - AMAZING! Not only was she knowledgeable but incredibly helpful and quite sympathetic to my cause (thank you by the way). The prices are very good the help AMAZING and the product, delicious. The assistants are friendly and knowledgeable and willing to answer any questions you might have. I go in for their supply of 'Lentilicious,' one of the many locally produced products for healthy living they have in store and their organic fair trade coffee. Even if you aren't sold on organic foods, its a great place to find healthy, nutritious food stuff.

Surprisingly, 'Mrs Flannery's' is the size of a small IGA or your local food store. It has a few aisles like the ones you find at the Supermarket! Here you will find, organic cereal, wide range of nuts and whole grains as well as natural household and beauty products. I am fond of their peanut butter which is literally grounded peanuts with no additives, preservatives and flavourings. Of course shopping here is not as cheap as the local supermarket but you feel so good about yourself for being so healthy after shopping here. I obviously would not do my entire groceries here as that would burn a hole in my pocket though. I'd only gone in to see if they had any WotNot Face Cleaning wipes in stock. From protein powders to pink crystal lamps, vitamins, health foods and beauty products - these guys have the lot.
