I am reviewing this facility based on my interviews with management in late 2023. I met with Carla…read moreLevingston in person and she was able to give me an approximate level of care cost in addition to the monthly fee. She was totally honest about the coming rate increases. She answered my questions completely. The rooms here are private rooms each with private bathrooms. There is room for larger beds if a couple wants to move in together or 2 twin beds and chairs and dresser etc. Each resident brings their own furniture, TV etc. This facility now offers one "house" with independent living. This facility is VERY DIFFERENT from other larger assisted living homes. It is more like a group of individual group homes. Each residence has a group of caregivers. NOTE: The 2nd person fee on price sheet is applied when a second person lives full time in the same room but does not need assisted living. What totally attracted me to Park Place was that they would allow me to sleep over without charge and pay $5 for a meal if I wanted. This was very attractive to me. I was ready to move my husband here because of that ability. The only reason I did not move him here was because it was 15-20 minutes away from my home and I found a small group home 1.4 miles away that also allows me to sleep over if I want. I highly recommend Park Place to anyone considering a care facility for a loved one. It's beautiful and the manager Carla is very helpful. If you find this review helpful PLEASE VOTE!

The services, food and care are in decline and management chooses to not do anything about it. The staff is rude, the food is horrible and the care is of low quality. My mother had jewelry stolen, staff yell at her and inedible food supplied. I share this for those of you looking for a place, as I would not suggest placing your loved one here. I didn't realize how bad it was until she moved and she is so happy with a positive environment and good food. My mom is cognitive enough to know what was going on and the staff didn't want to deal with her complaints. It makes me wonder how badly residents are treated that don't know what is going on.

The food is really quite good, the facility is clean and bright. While it's been very difficult with COVID, the management used care and common sense to keep the families in contact, and the residents safe. Thank you for making my Dad's last year and a half as good as possible.

Some of Staff members were very rude to me and even ignore the residents while I would visit my dad. So I wonder what they were doing the same to my father after I would leave. My Dad's room was dirty and had a bad order had to ask them to clean his room. When we would arrive on many occasion they would with just his Depends on with no PJ's or Sweat pants on. His cloths would be soiled with yesterday food stains. I would not recommend Brookdale Senior Living even if it was the last care facility on Earth. We as a family decided to pull Dad from Brookdale Senior Living, Reno ASAP. And took him home and hired a Private in home care. Hospices provided him a bed, bed tray, radio and more. But best believe they there billing department made sure the bill/invoice was sent timely as a money taker.

Her laptop computer was stolen from her Brookdale apartment while she was in the hospital. The place is expensive at $4,500+ per month and looks nice on the surface but it is a breeding ground for illness and it's not safe. My Mom and I even got very sick last fall with a gastrointestinal disorder after visiting her at Brookdale. Sadly, my Aunt passed away a few days ago from the C-Diff. If you care about your elderly parents or family members AVOID this place at all costs!

We have…read morehad a loved one in the memory care unit for nearly a year and I have to say that I have been impressed with the compassion and level of care provided by the staff. I know in our case that the staff have treated our loved one with respect and kindness from day one. I try to thank them every time I visit and am continually impressed by their patience and cheerful attitude. I have had several opportunities to interact with the administrators and each interaction has been helpful and professional. In the course of the year they have implemented several programs that have enhanced the safety and care provided to the residents. Everyone from the front desk to the executive director has been cooperative, understanding and most responsive. The facility itself is beautiful, the food is excellent, and there are all kinds of activities for the residents and their families. I couldn't be more pleased with Clearwater at Rancharrah. Bruce S

Our family member lived in the memory care unit at Clearwater at Rancharrah for approximately one year. Initially, things seemed acceptable, but the quality of care declined significantly over time. We ultimately felt we had no choice but to remove him urgently. There appeared to be a serious staffing shortage, and the employees who were there seemed overwhelmed. Unfortunately, the residents were the ones who suffered. During multiple visits, we found our loved one still in bed late in the day because no one had helped him get up since the morning. On more than one occasion, he was calling out in pain and had not been checked on. Personal belongings also went missing multiple times, and when we raised these concerns with the executive director, the response was dismissive and unhelpful. What we witnessed went far beyond occasional mistakes or forgetfulness. We believe it reflected a pattern of neglect toward vulnerable residents who depend entirely on staff for their daily care and safety. The overwhelming sense of relief we felt after moving him out says everything about our experience. I strongly encourage families to carefully consider other options. If your loved one requires attentive, compassionate memory care, I would not recommend this facility based on what our family experienced. We hope this review helps others make an informed decision.
