I used their services around a few years ago after being referred by a friend. I was fresh out of college and couldn't find work. The interview went generally well , however one of my limitations was that I needed an opportunity close by, being that I did not have a reliable vehicle at the time. For example, I was looking for work no more than half an hour away from my home, which isn't a crazy request being that I lived right in the Edison area. The interviewer, Joanna, then questioned me about this as if it were a problem. I reassured her it would not be a issue, and that it was a temporary problem which would have been resolved with money (a job). It was pretty unsettling and silly having to prove to someone that I was responsible enough to get to work. She mentioned some opportunities in sales but she would have to call me back. She never did. I called multiple times and they kept saying they will reach out later, and that it was "busy season". I Never heard from them afterwards. It was very unprofessional. I felt that they mistook my economic status as me being an irresponsible person. My age and lack of office experience probably played into it as well. Looking back, I should have never told them I was having car issues. Overall I'm glad it never worked out since they would have taken a portion of my salary. Also, please keep in mind that this was in 2017, perhaps they're better now. read more

I signed up w/ Staffing Alternatives, Kelly Services, Todays Office Professionals, Lorelei & Spherion Staffing Services & not ONE of them had the decency to follow up with me! Don't waste your time, go directly to Atrium! Update: Erin Stonack in the Little Falls office is fantastic too! I've been working with her for the past week & she's super efficient & friendly! Atrium, you've been downgraded to just 3 stars. Your follow up is mediocre & it seems like sometimes you don't want to leave the comfort zone of your position. If someone else takes over my account, please let me know who that is! Not every person signed up w/ a staffing service is a college kid looking for extra $$. For some of us, this is our only income, so please be mindful of that & give us the courtesy of a reply call or e-mail. And...another star gone!!! I've been calling & e-mailing 2 contacts at Little Falls office for one week re: a potential assignment at a major company. This was a lead from my neighbor/friend who just completed her first assignment w/ Atrium. I've sent 4 emails & made 2 phone calls & still don't have any info. I'd like to know if: the position has been filled, I'm not qualified, some other reason! I do not like downgrading Atrium at all, but this is very frustrating. I signed on with Atrium at the suggestion of a friend, and they did everything I could have asked of them. Esther Tark, my counselor, worked diligently to find me a great temp-to-hire job with a major medical university, AND close to my home, even in a slow job market. With tough economic times ahead, I definitely suggest signing on with a staffing agency such as Atrium if you find yourself out of work, because they will get you interviews for the jobs you want and work hard to ensure that you stay happy at work. I have been working with Michael Baldini at Atrium since early this year. Michael has a great deal of energy, I am working with several different recruiters and he was the first to land me a job after graduating October 2012. Update: So I was able to get in touch with Atrium Staffing and Kelly Patraju. Kelly was very helpful in explaining what miscommunication had happened. She was very cordial and understanding of what happened and was able to help me with my questions. I hoped after a job interview I would be able to have to follow up by email or by phone but neither service seems to be available, Disconnected phone lines and unresponsive email prompts leave me lost for words. It was a hurtful experience. I was contacted via email by a lady named Kaitlyn who wanted to discuss my job experience. I had a lot going with my son preparing for his SAT/ACT for college, working a full-time job and interviewing with other staffing agencies. Somehow I got mixed up with Kaitlyn's request to have a phone conversation and I instead showed up to the agency thinking she wanted to meet with me. It was an honest mistake. I was doing way too much multi-tasking. I apologized and told her I could leave which I honestly didn't mind leaving since it was my mistake to begin with. Kaitlyn seemed a little thrown off/slightly agitated which is why I thought it best to leave. She insisted that she was fine and we could meet. It was a very disconnected/robotic interview. She didn't really try to get to know my experience and mostly focused on why I left previous companies. I felt like she didn't even see my humanity and I was just a number and then basically said "see this is why I wanted to speak with you over the phone first" and she went on to tell me how she didn't have anything for me. I'm summing this up of course, but out of all of the staffing agencies I have even been to and worked with, this was the coldest and felt mean, like when a person is trying to teach you a lesson and they have no regard for who you are and your circumstances. What get's me most is that I tried to leave a few times and she insisted it was ok but it clearly wasn't because it came across in her demeanor during my interview. She shut me down so quickly like she had already made her mind up about me because I mistakenly showed up instead of calling her. I will never forget that and I always tell business owners and job seekers to stay away from this place. read more

I signed up for Atrium a few years ago and met with Christine and a few other agents from her "team" After I spent hours meeting with each one and going over how far I could travel and my interests, they were very nice and promising. At first. They had convinced me to do temp work and sent me on assignments that were too far from where I lived and as a replacement for other temps. They always encouraged me to call with any concerns and Christine would never answer her phone. They kept sending me on assignments for under the pay I agreed to and once they felt they used me enough, never called again. If you do sign up with them, take my advice. Do EXACTLY what they say or they will discard you and don't expect anyone to be around on a Friday during the Summer. ALWAYS be available and answer their calls or they'll go from fake nice to plain rude. read more
