I was happiest that my fellow theater goers were respectful and courteous. It is nice nowadays to just go do something and plain enjoy it. The value is very very good. If you bring your own food there is a five dollar charge for each car. Frankly that is pretty reasonable considering what indoor theaters charge for a coke. The snack bar prices were less than the average indoor theater. I enjoyed the pizza, it was hot and didn't seem so be a lot of pre made stuff, even if it was. A great experience.

Kid K was bored by the end but still said she liked it. Family history plus info about his intentions. Steep stairs so be careful. Classy items in the gift shop. Definitely worth a visit if you are nearby, or a detour if you are at all interested in history or technology.

To get to the historic house, I had to drive past the quaint Milan town square, which in itself seems to be a genuine piece of Americana. The house and adjacent museum visitor center are located near the top of a hill. They overlook what is now a defunct historic canal. Inside the visitors center, there is an impressive collection of Edison's audio inventions - many that still work! Inside the house are several artifacts owned by the Edisons, as well as other period-correct pieces. A few of Thomas Edison's personal items are even on display upstairs. Deb enthusiastically painted a vivid picture of how life was in the Edison house. She explained how many of the artifacts were used. The "school teacher" in her certainly came out, as she encouraged questions. The house is conveniently located only a few miles from the Ohio turnpike. I highly recommend experiencing this interesting and informative, historic gem.

Upon walking in, we noticed a distinct smell that reminded me of when my mom would super clean the house after smoking--it had that lingering hidden smoke scent. The space itself feels more like a bar than a traditional winery, which was an interesting twist. The wines, however, are quite different from what we expected. They specialize in fruit wines rather than traditional grape varieties, offering flavors like peach, strawberry, and blackberry. While fruit wine isn't typically our go-to, it was a fun experience, and we did pick up a couple of bottles to go. If you're a fan of fruit wines or enjoy something a bit unconventional, this is definitely a spot worth checking out! They were very accommodating and nice and helped provide ideas on other stops along the way. Worth checking out.

We were given a warm welcome by the husband and wife team that owns and operates this gem tucked into the rural landscape of northern Ohio. Wonderful little gem…read more Our tour consisted of a docent giving us backstory as he led us into three different buildings on the site; he was friendly. The first building focused on different eras of history of the area, including some fossils and ship/canal history, and a room dedicated to Edison's inventions. The second was a glass museum, the upstairs of which held a non-glass collection, including metal banks, and some wall art. The third was a collection of art/decorative pieces and furniture from a wealthy local. We were then able to check out the blacksmith shop/small collection of farm machinery. The doll exhibit was not open on the day we visited, but there was enough to see without it. The gift shop was extensive. Overall, a great educational place to cool off on a hot day!

Kudos to the caretaker lady that was there weeding the sidewalks, and even though they were not open on the day of my visit, she said I could look around and even let me go into some of the buildings. And speaking of buildings, there were probably at least seven different buildings as part of this complex, and for a mere donation of $7, you can tour them during business hours. I hope to come back and spend more time here, as there is so much to see, and it is within walking distance of the Edison Birthplace, so I highly recommend both places, as well as the Milan Town Square. Tons of history here, that I had no idea about . . . AMAZING.
