Two words- Purple Haze. You'll want to drink this s l o w l y. Its addictive! I really love the atmosphere here. Very casual and friendly! Their Pink Catawba is also a fave. The pavilion on Saturday nights usually has a band, we saw a great Elvis impersonator his name was Jason Griffith! It's a great place to wander out and look at the stars.. family run and a homespun feel. You'll find me barefoot dancing amongst the vines. Heaven on earth.

Haters gonna hate. This place is a gem in the middle of nowhere (Wakeman, OH) I've heard good things and finally got to check it out for myself and see how fun it is! They had an awesome live band called Soul PropRioters playing on the patio (A 60 degree day in January!) The trumpet, sax and oldies oh yes. The wine was good and tastings are just 50 cents each. I am a big fan of reds. They also have wine slushies, yumm. A great atmosphere and excellent service. They have deals on pizzas too for just 8 bucks. Can't wait to go back and get my groove on. :)

The tasting options allowed you to either choose a flight or pay $1.50 per tasting, and we opted for the latter. While their selection of dry reds was limited, the Adonia Berry caught my attention. A medium dry wine, it tasted like biting into a peanut butter and jelly sandwich--absolutely delicious. We couldn't resist walking away with two bottles of the Retriever Red Apple Blend. With our daughter @morganmmiller being a golden retriever lover, we knew she'd appreciate the bottle just as much as we did. Overall, it was a wonderful experience at this winery. Cheers to a great visit!

One sweet, which I don't care for sweet wines, the second, which I chose was lacking flavor. No body to the wine. Very disappointing. My wife tried 2 whites, she didn't care for either. They did not have a chardonnay or anything close. The traditional cheese tray was obviously pre- cubed cheeses, some plain soda crackers and a half a peach. I asked about getting a half order or the "gourmet " cheese tray but the server said they don't offer it because everything is pre-proportioned, which leads me to believe it's from Costco or the like. All in all pretty disappointing. Ww love stopping at wineries but unless friends want to go, ill avoid this one. We have frequented the orchard store for decades but even that has gotten so expensive we have cut back.

They only have a few sweet wines the sweetest being the red dolce. It's fruity and sweet. We like it. They have semi sweet and dry as well. They have a porch/patio and inside are some chairs and tables. They also have a loft area. That's where we went. The place was hoping around 1p on a Sunday when we went. A book club was there and several couples. They also had a coffee tasting from a local grower. The smell of fresh coffee was very overwhelming so we had to try. The service is good. Staff is nice. Prices about average. They have some food and you can bring your own. The issue and unfortunately there was one, was that there were thousands of fruit flies invading the place. I guess they crushed grapes for harvest and the fruit flies are a thing that happens. It was very annoying and obnoxious. Wine, food, and you had to be covered because the flies were on every surface. It was rainy so no outdoor escape on the patio. There are ways to control the flies. Use that blue light to attract them or something. If you want people to sit and drink. Make it easy. Flies are not making it easy. We will go back. But I'll call to make sure flies are gone.

They were going to have live music as well as a food truck in the evening but we had other plans. The winery offered samples for $1. Most of our group chose 4-6 wines to try so our table looked a bit crazy with all the glasses. The one downside was that the employee who helped us was relatively new and had us do our tastings from sweet to dry, instead of dry to sweet. She did say that she was trained this way but it threw me off. Luckily, the owner came in and we were able to ask some questions. When I questioned the thought process of going from sweet to dry - he quickly corrected our remaining samples and made a note to do some retraining. I enjoyed that this was a family owned winery. Even the kids were studying subjects in college to allow them to be part of the business as well. I loved the theme of time. Our group ended up leaving with several bottles and I would definitely recommend this winery to others.

Tucked away in a wooded setting near the Lake Erie shore, Paper Moon has a really cozy, laid-back atmosphere. The indoor tasting area is comfortable and inviting, with board games available to play, and there's plenty of outdoor seating throughout the grass, along with a covered outdoor dining area. It's a great place to relax and spend a leisurely afternoon with friends. It's a casual, counter-service setup. You order your food at the counter/bar area, you're given a buzzer, and then you pick up your food at the counter when it's ready. I ordered the Blackberry Sangria Slush, which was refreshing and perfect for a summer day. For lunch, I had the Hot Italian Panini with chips and a pickle spear. It was tasty and had good flavor, although the panini was a little on the thin side and I would have preferred it to be a bit more substantial. Overall, Paper Moon was a fun stop during our girls' day. I really enjoyed the peaceful, wooded setting and casual atmosphere. In April I contacted The Winerie about a Christmas Party on Dec. 5th 2025, at that time I spoke with the Manager who was let go before our party. We received all the menues and contracts. We signed the contract and made the deposit. In October we never heard from anyone to finalize the menu so I reached out to the said Manager and I was told she no longer works there and gave me the "new" managers number. I called and sent numerous texts with no response. We finally called Winerie and spoke with a bartender who stated she would have someone call me back. I did get a text that said when is the best time to call you, I told her anytime before 2:30. A few days later she called back we touched base on what we had planned, she asked if we signed a contract and made a deposit as she has no record of us booking. From that point on I no longer had phone conversations with anyone everything had to be done via text. When I asked if someone could call she stated no she is very busy as she wears many hats. Fast forward to the time of our party!! UGH they had 5 tables reserved with a white tablecloth on them thats it no salt/pepper no water nothing. Okay fine we can overlook that. The food was finally served and they put out a tossed salad that was big enough for 1 person, when we went to ask for more they stated sorry we have no more lettuce in the whole place. We were supposed to get rolls and butter nope they didn't have those either. When we went to the bar for beer they ran out of that as well we had to change what we drank. The roasted carrots where hard the potatoes where spungy. The chicken was DRY as the saraha desert. The lasagna was very good. We ran out of food!!! We had to go to the bar and ask if they had any more they said oh yes we will get someone to bring more. They brought our more lasagna and some cabbage that they called a salad but never brought out any chicken. We had to ask for salt and pepper, and more plates. No one cleaned off the tables after dinner we had to bus our own tables and put them on an empty table. One of our guests bit into a bite of chicken and pulled out a 3" piece of dark hair that had food attached to it. The desert constisted of cheesecakes from Sams Club. No one came to check on us at all during the evening, we had to go ask where we were set up, and had to ask when food was going to be served. When we went up to pay they did take money off the bill because we complained but then turned around and charged us a 20% gratuity. Why, why didn't we get to say what we wanted to pay because we had no service other than the bartenders getting the drinks. I do not recommend this facility RUN!!! The bruschetta was a great mix of texture and flair. Sweet tomatoes, perfectly grilled baguette, salty olives, and savory blue cheese. Amazing. The salmon was very good. It had brussel sprouts cooked in an Apple compote. Very nice contrast of sweet and savory. Fish was perfectly cooked. Only negative was the potatoes were slightly over cooked. Pro Tip - ask for Julie. The best server.
