The pub is a nice comfortable village pub with excellent beer and food from bar snacks to a full restaurant menu. It also offers bed and breakfast and Brisley is centrally located in Norfolk making it an ideal base from which to explore the county.

My friends and I enjoyed 4 rounds of whisky, beer, cider and house specialty drinks in the alley / designated smoking area. Inside on a Friday night, there wasn't a seat available. We braved the cold and drizzle for 2 hours. When the place started clearing out, we sat in a hall with stools and a counter. Seating area around the bar is all low top tables. Loud but worth the atmosphere. Great energy. 3 different bartenders helped us. All professional, patient and kind. Noticed the 2nd floor was for dinning. I am American, I am a huge foodie, and I eat steaks and food all around the world. I was able to say, "that was the best steak I have ever had in my life!" I had the 9oz Kangaroo fillet cooked medium rare. It was perfect. My whole table ordered Kangaroo, either the fillet, or the hamburger. Everyone was quite pleased. The Kangaroo fillet is lean protein, won't make your waist line bulge. It was so tender, I cut it with a butter knife. It needed nothing, just the steak itself, it was absolutely delicious. The service was good, although our service was novice, I suggest in the future before he steps out into the field memorize the menu before you start seeing customers, I got a lot of "I don't knows", but that is OK, it's a training issue, but the food was fantastic and that is all that mattered. I enjoyed a nice glass of port afterwards and my lot enjoyed the guest ales they had on top. I've also experimented with the pizzas, they are quite nice, but who needs a pizza when you can have a Kangaroo fillet? I eagerly await my next meal at the Station, I look forward to trying another exotic animal.

The pub is beautiful and cosy, the landlady was kind and cheerful and the food.....oh god, the food! We both had a starter of pigeon, not something you usually see on a pub menu and it was superbly cooked and tasted amazing. For my main I chose the steak burger with chips and onion rings, the burger was big, flavoursome and juicy and the touch I like is that the tomato ketchup on table was all homemade, not from a bottle! We will certainly come back to this awesome place if we are ever near the area again because it was outstanding!!

I like my beers a little on the hoppy side, so this choice was perfect: not too hoppy, but still carries a citrus taste. With a menu heavily slanted towards brunch, I ordered the traditional English breakfast and was satisfied. Not the best I've ever had, but certainly worth recommending to the casual visitor.

Being an American I can say I've never laid eyes on a pancake like that and I've had my share. They tasted nice, but it was essentially a couple scones made from pancake batter. We went back again for breakfast a few weeks later and brought friends from London with us and tries more of the egg dishes, bacon, and chorizo this time which were all stellar. Franks is quickly becoming our favorite breakfast and brunch place in Norwich. This Thursday we are planning of stopping in for dinner to give it a go.
