All of the old buildings are being restored and the town is really clean and welcoming. While walking around, I saw some men putting up a barber pole on this building. I asked if they were open for business, because my husband needed a haircut badly after being on the road for a month. The owner, Jalynn, said yes come in. We learned that she is a Navy veteran and her son is also in the Navy. She has a wall in the shop dedicated to her family's military service. My husband was also in the military so they had lots to talk about. Besides being friendly, she also gave him a great haircut!! Don't miss Helper if you are on Highway 6 and stop in to see Jaelynn!

They are the World's oldest barber, and have been cutting the hair of royalty and world leaders every since. It was outrageously expensive. Most importantly, they offer a level of class, treatment, and skill par excellence. I bring that up because that's the kind of place Scissor and Bone aspires to. I've had nothing but the best experience there. Since my wife decided I needed a full beard, I've needed good trimming skills, and I'm willing to pay the extra few sheckles for the rest of the treatment. In addition, he called later that evening to make sure I was still doing OK (I had figured out the problem and was no longer at the parts store when he drove by several hours later, checking on me, a total stranger).
