All of the old buildings are being restored and the town is really clean and welcoming. While walking around, I saw some men putting up a barber pole on this building. I asked if they were open for business, because my husband needed a haircut badly after being on the road for a month. The owner, Jalynn, said yes come in. We learned that she is a Navy veteran and her son is also in the Navy. She has a wall in the shop dedicated to her family's military service. My husband was also in the military so they had lots to talk about. Besides being friendly, she also gave him a great haircut!! Don't miss Helper if you are on Highway 6 and stop in to see Jaelynn!
