The service was disgusting. - we were not offered small tasters as we had been previously - our plates were very small compared to the Spanish diners for exactly the same dish - when we asked for our bill we had been over-charged for wine. There were 5 adults. The manager said we could only have one drink per person. yet in 30 years of dining in spain we have always had 1/2 bottle of wine per person. Despite that he tried to charge us Euros10 for the second bottle of wine AND extra for the waters we had. We fully understand you get 1/2 a bottle of wine OR water OR whatever..this guy was simply ripping off tourists. The staff treated us very very badly and I told them I was going to describe in detail the experience in internet review sites unless the complaint was resolved. We have been visiting Spain for 30 years and this is the only time we have ever been treated badly. We felt the staff were being dishonest with us and deliberately over-charging because we were tourists. in the end I paid the correct amount, left, and suggested they call the police!!! I found this tapas / Spanish traditional restaurant while strolling by. I was greeted by a very…read morefriendly hostess who spoke very good English. My server quickly greeted me and I was able to point and inquire about the various choices at the bar. After making my choices my plate was warmed and in front of me in 4 minutes. The food was excellent and tasted very fresh. It is 9pm and I am told this is the perfect time for a dinner meal. There is a menu for fresh plates as well which I did not try. The ambiance is very relaxing, the place is full but not crowded. I think the seating and fixturing is upscale and very clean. The lighting is more intimate and the fresh food and cafe smells fill the air. I have had many servers tend to me and they have all been cheerful and polite. My Spanglish is asi asi and this has not impacted my experience at all. I am not fully educated on what makes a great tapas establishment but from my perspective of eating out this was a great choice and I am glad I made it. Que te diviertas!
