Overlooking the rocky cliff of Sol d'en Serra, this Spanish Mediterranean gem of a restaurant and beach club boasts some of the best panoramic views of the sea on the island. Reservations for the restaurant and daybeds are hard to come by and must be booked at least three months in advance. Despite its exclusive reputation, Amante's staff are down to earth and friendly, letting you enjoy the views and savor your meal. The monkfish and prawn croquettes were soft and savory. The finely sliced beetroot petals filled with cream cheese, spinach, and pine nuts were to die for, dressed with lime and a drizzle of agave. The ceviche of tender whitefish with cucumber aguachile was fresh and zesty. The main courses did not let us down. The squid ink risotto topped with a grilled scallop was on the lighter side but prepared well. The rose shaped pasta filled with prawns over beurre blanc and caviar was divine. We chose a unique dessert that we hadn't tried before consisting of extra virgin olive oil ice cream, toasted macadamia nuts, and olive oil pearls. It felt healthy, nourishing, and sumptuous. We ordered chilled shots and cava while enjoying the sunset and then went downstairs closer to the beach to indulge in more breathtaking views of the moonlight bouncing off the waves. Definitely a night I will never forget.
