A lot of places were packed, but we were fortunate to snag the couch at the front of Vestiarie right when we got in! We were super glad we checked them out because it had everything we were looking for. First, the craft selection was on point and quite ample. The NEIPA's I had were spot on. But for the rest of the group, who were not interested in beer, they also had a selection of cocktails and wine. And it was just a nice spot--yes, it was lively, but it wasn't over-bearing. You could still have a quiet conversation and hear everyone in the group. If that's your thing, would highly recommend.

My pal and I workout down the street so I've had the pleasure of frequenting the spot semi-regularly on its quieter nights. As several reviewers have mentioned, the beers are hella cheap here. It's also worth mentioning that the majority of the beer is house brew and it's pretty good (particularly for the price). Given this feature of their drink prices comes the downside to this place: it gets PACKED. And not in a fun way. When this place gets full people are piled up on each other making it really difficult to get around. I also find that the crowd changes to unsavoury characters the more the night carries on. Once you hit peak business hour at this place it kinda feels like a gross frat house party. But back to the positives. The food is really accessible and pretty affordable (much like the drinks). My two go-tos are the grilled romaine salad and the tartar (the appetizer format is a perfect small meal and it comes with a salad). They used to have a larger menu with more pub menu-type options but I can still appreciate the variety offered now. Finally, I should mention that I find the service pretty variable. When they're really packed you can be waiting quite a while for your server and you can only order at the bar if you're seated there. After checking reviews and previous posts on their Facebook page, I see they used to offer more burger options and even tacos but these have been removed. We came here on a Friday evening around 6pm, it was already full but we managed to find a table and spent the next couple hours enjoying ourselves for the most part. The atmosphere is hip, the banquet seats were comfy and everything we ordered tasted great. We tried their pogo mac and cheese which is deep fried mac and cheese on a stick, topped with green onions, bacon and sour cream, served with fries. This was decadent and very fitting for "bar food". We also got fried chicken, falafels and poutine which were equally delicious. The food is very salty so you want to drink more. The prices are a little steep for how small their portions are and I also realised that the 3$ beers are not the best deal in town, if you want a full pint, you'll need two, so the price ends up being similar to other bars. This is however a great way to sample the variety without breaking the bank. The biggest problem we had was with slow service. Now I haven't been to a bar in a while and understand that perhaps they are not trying to turn tables as quickly as servers would in a regular restaurant, however this place was severely understaffed. Le Blind Pig can seat 80 people and there was only one server + the barman for the entire evening. We waited a long time to get our order taken and even longer if we just asked for a glass of water. Despite the slow service, I really like the vibe and the food, this bar is a great addition to the neighborhood. I would give it another try since it was overall fun. Also, cool detail - the bathroom has a commununal sink for men and women, comprised of many little shower heads to mimic rainfall. Very NEAT.

Service matched the room: stylish, French, not overly familiar but unobtrusively exactly what you needed. The beers were pretty freakin great, and that's the most important thing. Big $6 pints of delicious Porter, English Brown ale, IPAAA and the guest star bottle of British micro-brew Jaipur was a treat, and, according to my more beer savvy companion, not found elsewhere in town. The tostada nachos came out quick and hit the spot but were just the basic cheese, olive pile you'd expect with a small side bowl of sour cream, salsa and a few peppers. I had the bartender give me her favorite selections so I got a nice variety from pilsners, kolcsh's to porters and stouts. The food I had here was also very good, but I went for the beer. I really enjoy the 80s memorabilia, the movies shown on an old TV using VHS system, the list of drinks has been now transferred into a VHS boxes, funny, but difficult to read. The music choices have been always awesome. The service may be spotty. Even on an evening when sitting on the little patio and there were only few customers we had to wave persistently to get another drink or just the check.
