All the above a not necessarily bad things as the price you pay is relative to all this basic things. That being said the Ibis Dinant has something that stands out over the other Ibis' I have stated before. It has a great location right bang in the center of the town, with a great view of its famous river. All in all, great value for money in Dinant.

A babbling, fast moving river out front. It's a classic European hotel. They don't even ask for a credit card when checking in! Very affordable too. Words of advice. Reserve online through their website, not a booking site. It's less expensive and is better for them. Email or call them for follow-up prior to arriving. If you don't speak French, it's best to write them first. If you want dinner in the hotel (I highly recommend), reserve it ahead of time, or you will be out of luck. I recommend their breakfast onsite too. They have a great choice and the coffee is excellent. If you haven't been here before, I recommend arriving in the daylight. The grounds are beautiful and worth seeing in the daylight, but the roads approaching it can be a bit difficult in the dark. I can't wait to return here soon!

Le Beau Sejour was one of THE best restaurants we've ever visited. The ambiance is frankly not particularly good. But the food and service deserves multiple stars and I'm not sure why they're not better noted in the food world. Multi-course menu with wine was out of this world good and set us back c.a. €180. Worth every cent. Would gladly return and highly recommend a detour to dine here.

The hosts were wonderfully polite and accommodating. When we wanted to upgrade for the night they were more than helpful with this. They helped with luggage and tips on the surrounding area. We had dinner at the place. While it was nice my steak which I ordered med well came out quite raw. Could have been that's the way they cook their steaks in Belgium. Once I said it was too pink they took it back to cook a little longer. Breakfast was delicious with a good variety. No wifi in the rooms. The beds were comfortable and soft.
