A babbling, fast moving river out front. It's a classic European hotel. They don't even ask for a credit card when checking in! Very affordable too. Words of advice. Reserve online through their website, not a booking site. It's less expensive and is better for them. Email or call them for follow-up prior to arriving. If you don't speak French, it's best to write them first. If you want dinner in the hotel (I highly recommend), reserve it ahead of time, or you will be out of luck. I recommend their breakfast onsite too. They have a great choice and the coffee is excellent. If you haven't been here before, I recommend arriving in the daylight. The grounds are beautiful and worth seeing in the daylight, but the roads approaching it can be a bit difficult in the dark. I can't wait to return here soon!

The hosts were wonderfully polite and accommodating. When we wanted to upgrade for the night they were more than helpful with this. They helped with luggage and tips on the surrounding area. We had dinner at the place. While it was nice my steak which I ordered med well came out quite raw. Could have been that's the way they cook their steaks in Belgium. Once I said it was too pink they took it back to cook a little longer. Breakfast was delicious with a good variety. No wifi in the rooms. The beds were comfortable and soft.

Well lighted, nice music, great menu, friendly service. The beer menu is amazing, as is the wine. The food is just what you would expect from a Belgian menu. I can't express enough how good this dinner was. So fun and affordable. We spent 60 euro each (with tip) for dinner, a started and two local belgian beers. It was really nice how the snow was falling outside too, made it extra cozy, sitting in the warm interior looking at the church across the street. Make sure you arrive hungry....the portions are huge. Save room for desert!
