Excellent food, good atmosphere, & reasonable prices for a great meal. La Basse Cour has changed owners since the previous review, and by all accounts has improved. The menu was creative and classic at the same time; the quality of the ingredients was excellent, and the cook does have a bit of flair. The wine selection was notably good as well. In general, the menus (food & wine) are short, but carry a well-rounded selection, and everything we ordered was excellent. Very reasonable formule for lunch during the week (€14/17 - 2 or 3 courses). A grand meal on the weekend was ~€40 per person, wine included Seating indoors in a rustic interior with dark carved wood and some low wine-cellar-like ceilings; or outdoors on a terrace with views of the mountains and le lac pettichet. Highly recommended for a lunch or dinner in passing - or better yet, stay a while! Les lacs Laffrey & Pettichet are great in the summer. read more
