I found this ad on craigslist and won the auction for an ice machine. I first found is strange that I put a max bid of $500... and then magically we won for EXACTLY $500. After seeing what other reviewers write, it makes sense that the probably DO in fact shill their bids. Do NOT put a max bid. Now here is the kicker. I made the MASSIVE mistake of paying in cash. Why? Because the machine.... DOES NOT WORK! and is FILTHY, like covered in soot. I had professional plumbers try to hook it up and the first they said was it doesn't power on. The second thing they said that the bin was covered in mold, the legs are warped, the bottom is rusted so bad it looked like it was covered in decay. Had I seen it in person, I would have refused the purchase but I hired the plumbing company to pick it up and install it. I had called their company multiple times and the first 2 times I was told that I was going to get a call back with a solution. No Response. Then I called again a few days later and was told I would get a call back. No Response. Called a third time and I spoke to Janice who claimed to be the owner (clearly she is not). I said to her, I called many times and I was told I was going to be provided a solution. Her response, "I am giving you a solution, there is nothing I am going to do about it." I asked how could be possibly sell something broken and then tell me, "Well you got it dirt cheap and as-is!". I don't know what she is talking about because I spent over $600 on a broken machine. I asked her, how can you possibly sell me a broken machine? It says on your website that you guarantee it will work and it has been tested! She said she tested it when she got it. I asked her for documented proof and she said they do not keep it. She said that it worked at the restaurant before they unplugged it. The funny part is that on the header on their website clearly states the following. "we GUARANTEE You will find NEW and USED - CLEAN-TESTED-LATEST MODEL equipment at unbeatably low prices! BID WITH CONFIDENCE. We take great care in TESTING, PACKAGING AND SHIPPING every item! " So almost everything was a lie in what appears to be their mission statement. Not Clean, Not Properly Tested... and clearly you cannot bid with confidence. I had high hopes but I am severely disappointed. It is not about the money but about the principle of the matter. The way you treat customers and would prefer to cheat rather than make it right. Now I cannot condemn the whole company as it was not the owner who treated me this way. I would hope the owner would have a conscious, reach out to me and make this right. **** After looking into this further... isn't it kind of suspicious that almost all of the "5 Star Reviews", most of them are out of state and they look like models... Makes you question the validity of these positive reviews big time.... Also notice that the 1 star reviews, all but 1 is local ****
