Robert Hamer is the best, most knowledgeable AV professional out there! Just call him! You won't be disappointed. Robert fit me in during the crazy holiday time right around Christmas/New Years and estimated the proper amount of time to get the job done. I have worked with about 4 different AV companies in the past from larger companies like Tweeter (out of business) to smaller outfits specializing in structured wiring/electrical work. They all seem to underestimate the time needed to complete the job, as well as seem to take forever to do it. Robert was efficient and exact - the sign of an expert in his field. Nothing slowed him down or gave him pause. In our Living Room, we had an existing setup that needed a new TV and reprogramming of the universal remote - an AV receiver, with multiple components (Apple TV, AT&T Uverse, DVD Player, and Sonos Connect), and 2 zones in use, and an MX-980 Universal remote. He took down the old TV, put up the new one, and reprogrammed the remote more efficiently than it was before. He also improved the wire management behind our cabinet, and added a hard wired internet cable to the TV (added bonus) even though TV was wireless. Everything functioned better than it did before after Robert got through with it. And this is after two different "AV professionals" took a crack at this same setup. In the Media Room, he installed the new TV, installed the TV mount, and playbar mount, ran cables through the wall, installed a surge protected outlet, and hooked up 4 components (Sonos playbar, xbox, AT&T Uverse, and Apple TV). He used wall plates for all wall openings and all were in the exact right place behind the TV and behind the cabinet. Very precise! Everything was centered perfectly with no wires showing. It would have taken be forever to do that if I could have done it at all. He did this all very efficiently in half a day and without leaving any mess. All was very reasonably priced. I have been searching a very long time for a dependable AV guy, but all of them seem to be unprofessional. And most seem to go out of business in short order and cannot be counted on. Robert also offers great after installation service - you can count on him going forward. The sign of a good contractor is will you refer him to your family. I have already referred Robert to my dad. I only have good things to say. Robert from Audio and Video Dreams came to give a quote and got all we wanted done in no time. It looks great and we are beyond happy. We needed our TV mounted above our fireplace in the house we just bought--since there was not power in that wall and because of the layout, we knew it was a bit more complicated than most other TV mounts. I checked with a couple of different companies to get quotes-- and they wanted to charge around $500 for the job after looking at pictures. Robert asked to come and do a walk through before trying to give a good quote (which I was hesitant about, since I didn't want to try to schedule someone and make sure to get off work just for a quote...). But he came over on a Saturday afternoon since we knew we'd be there, looked at the job said that it would be no more than $275. He got the job done the same day... in no time and charged us $250-half of what the other guys wanted. He brought a little vacuum and cleaned up after himself. The other two companies said it would be 3 weeks before they could get out. I contacted Robert after I purchased an upgrade to the Onkyo receiver I had. I purchased a Dolby Atmos capable receiver and wanted to make sure I purchased the correct speakers for my system. Robert offered many different configuration options for my living room. I finally settled on the Pioneer Elite Dolby Atmos capable speakers that Robert recommended along with the Sunfire powered sub he raved about. I cant even begin to explain the sound quality of these speakers and this system. The bass is unbelievable!! If your like me and like quality, clean, crisp sound and bass that you can feel move the air around you while listening to music and watching movies than I highly recommend working with Robert. We recently built a new home in the Houston area and a purpose built media room was included in the home. We had it prewired for sound but needed all of the components purchased and installed. Contacted Robert the first time for quote on A/V for our new home. Got his name from my stepson who he had done work for previously. He came to our house and went over all options in detail and made recommendations on scope. Robert returned with Jeff and began installing complete A/V system in our living that included mounting TV on the wall, installing in ceiling speakers, new center speaker, new controller & programming. He was able to incorporate my existing Klipsh bookcase speakers & Velodyne sub. All this run through a new Yamaha receiver. This was a great install. I had Robert wall mount 4 tvs (3 inside and one outside) and I could not be happier with the results. He also installed a new network for my house as it is quite large and the wifi signal can't get to every corner or outside. You should know that Robert ask a lot of questions which was good for me because he wanted to know how I was going to use each device he installed. There was no pre-package where he "knew" what I needed. He suggested things along the way and some of the suggestions were add-on items but I honestly believe that he was offering them so we could get the best experience out of what he was doing. If I did not want, nor couldn't afford an item that was the end of it. So thankful for that! Robert has mounted and installed four televisions in my home ranging from a 50 inch to an 80 inch. Every time he did a fantastic job, going above and beyond our expectations. I wanted surround sound for a while but was looking for a solution that was visually pleasing in our den. Robert not only helped us put together something that virtually disappeared but it also sounds great and intergrates a lot of techology we use everyday (iPads, iPhones, etc.). I expected a good surround sound system but was surprised at how clear and balanced the sound is when listening to music (if we aren't watching a movie we have music on in our house and on our porch all the time now). Earlier last year I built my own Home theater through Amazon . I've been disappointed ever since with the my selection and performance of the system. I found Robert with audio and video dreams through a referral down the street. I contacted him about two weeks ago for him to install a home theater system and a few TVs downstairs. We contacted Robert to wall mount three (3) TV's in our house with one being installed over the fireplace. When I contacted him he came by the same day to review what we wanted and gave us a quote the next day. We weren't for sure how or what needed to be done to complete the work but Robert was very helpful with recommendations. My experience with Audio and video dreams was fantastic to say the least. I first called them on Monday, to have 4 large TVs (One being a Super heavy 75inch plasma) mounted in my house and have the cables run through the walls in difficult areas such as my 60 inch LCD Mounted in a recessed section above the fireplace mantel. Robert came out 2 days later and installed everything way exceeding my top expectations. I love seeing how things are done, so alot of times Contractors get frustrated with my questions and my constant shadowing... Robert's work was so well done that honestly I could not stop thanking him . He worked on my security cameras 3 of them to be precise . I am now able to see what happens in my backyard , my front door and my drive way . The work is do well done such that you cannot see the wires . After meeting with Robert he made a few suggestions which made better since and was a lower price than where I was going to go. He emailed me a proposal which explained all of what he was going to deliver and do as for his labor. Audio and Video Dreams just completed the installation of a 92" Black Diamond screen in my new " movie theatre". WOW!! I watched the latest Star Trek movie last night. The picture quality and the surround sound makes this a completely movie like experience. Robert, the owner of Audio and Video Dreams, also installed boosters for my wifi and a blue tooth Denon speaker, which provides incredible sound for my IPad streaming music. I am not a "techie" type person, and when I needed help with what is truly a simple system, Robert came back out to make sure I was completely satisfied. Review is long overdue. I contacted Robert a few months ago to have some speakers mounted in prewired location in my newly built home. After speaking with him he came by for a quick consultation and we got the plan together. During consultation i ended up adding some extra network cleanup work which he had no problem doing. On day of installation he was on time, polite, and got right to work. All work was complete in a matter of hours, work area was cleaned up, and he even did a small cleanup of some wires in the bedroom.
