Wanting more information, I called the office and "Bill" answered. He agreed he was Bill DeMarzo (mentioned in web site). He said there are no licensed audiologists on staff and when I asked what medical or educational qualifications he has he responded, "35 years experience." He then became somewhat hostile and asked why am I asking these questions. I responded I just wanted to know what medical qualifications he has. He responded, again, "35 years in business." I tanked him and ended the call. I don't know why anyone would go there when there are many audiologists, (Doctor of Audiology) around.

Yes, but the sound was not crisp & often could hear sound but not well. When my brother lost one of the hearing aids, I had to find a great place that understood her needs & truly cared about the outcome. I wasn't sure that was possible. I did some research online and made an apt at Ahren's. We were greeted warmly by both the receptionist and waited a short while to meet Kathy. Kathy took us into her office for a very thorough exam- something we had not experienced before at other places. There be an exam, yes, but not like this. Kathy immediately noticed that wax build up was an issue, certainly adding to the hearing loss. She cleaned the ears but could not clean one ear as well and sent us to the ENT to clean the wax. She gave my mom a loaner hearing aid until we ordered her new ones. You'd think this would be common before fitting for hearing aids but it was not what we'd experienced. We went back with the cleaned ears and further testing continued. Kathy discussed all the options and we decided on pair. We also got the phone & tv accessory. I cannot tell you how happy my mom is now. She's 91 and has a whole new world opened to her because of Ahren's and Kathy. We highly recommend Ahren's for you or your family member. You will not be disappointed, but will be pleasantly surprised.

I am a professional musician (singer and educator) who has seen ENT's for 25 years to treat GERD (acid reflux), the early stages of vocal nodules, sinus infections, and sleep apnea. While I have been lucky enough to have amazing ENT's through ENT Allergy (no bad experiences with any of their doctors), no one is better than Dr. Scheibelhoffer. It's not even close. No ENT has provided me with such stellar knowledge and immediate feedback than this doctor. He ALWAYS has the answers and goes to great lengths to educate his patients. Dr. Scheibelhoffer is the consummate professional - caring, compassionate, witty, and an outstanding sense of humor. I walked in today, and he commented immediately on my sports jersey. As he was prepping my files, we continued to talk sports for a few minutes before an inevitable nasal endoscopy was about to occur. He knows precisely what to say to put patients of ALL AGES at ease.
