I called, and even though Mr. Noble told me insurance doesn't cover the cost of adjustments, he still agreed to see me that same afternoon. It was a fantastic experience. He did a sound byte test which I did not have done previously at the place I purchased them. He assured me that is the only way they can be fitted properly. So far, the adjustments he made have resulted in a dramatic improvement in my hearing. When I tried to make an appointment with the VA to find out what was going on, they could not get me in within the 30-day period required by the new Congressional "Mission Act," that requires the VA to allow me to go to a private audiologist that they would set up and cover the expenses. Turns out that was the best thing that could have happened to me, as I was referred to Chippendale Audiology and Dr. Maura Chippendale. She thoroughly explained everything about hearing loss, got me the proper hearing aids and then professionally calibrated them properly and fit them to my ears. I didn't know how bad my hearing was until I got the proper hearing aids, with proper calibration and fitting from Dr. Chippendale. I wasn't wearing my previous hearing aids much because they were so uncomfortable and didn't seem to work right. The hearing aids from Dr. Chippendale are amazing. I felt like I was in a tunnel and could not understand conversations around me and had even more problems with the TV. I met with Dr. Hooper to discuss all my problems. He started with an exam to determine my hearing loss. I have never had such an extensive hearing exam before. He showed me the inside of my ear canal and went over all the tests results. This did not happen with my prior purchase. He spent over an hour with me explaining the lease agreement and if i was not completely happy that I could return the hearing aids within two weeks, receive all money that I put down, and no questions asked. Where can you get a deal like that. I felt I had nothing to loose and everything to gain. Well it's been a year and a half since I got the new hearing aids and I couldn't be happier. My world has opened up to me and I can go to restaurants again and participate in the conversation, have one on one conversations without asking the person to repeat that, and I enjoy TV with my family again at the normal level.
