He was knowledgeable on everything from how wood is grown, cut, and made into all sorts of items. He and his colleague were very generous with their time and knowledge. His workshop has plenty of stock and more than enough tools for the student. We came home with nice-looking, useable boards and gained a better appreciation of what goes into these hand-crafted works of art. If you're curious about woodworking and would like to get some great hands on experience I'd recommend taking one of his classes!

It was totally fun and doable for my friends who are not generally crafting people! My husband won a class via silent auction and we planned a mini vacation in Escondido so I could fly here for my birthday. It was perfect! They have 2 rigs and an adorable property-plenty of space for my husband to safely let my 2 year old run around while I flew. The staff were all happy and fun and encouraging. They helped improve my swing and taught me two new tricks! The class had a range of experience levels and they made sure each had individualized instruction at their level. They know that 99.9% of people have never "flown" before and they are the masters at teaching first timers how to fly! IS IT SAFE?? From the ground till you land safely back on the super soft net, you're clipped in and safe. IS THE NET LANDING HARD? Not at all. It's unbelievable soft. You can literally land in any position (arms outstretched, neck first, etc) and the net is designed to make all landings soft and injury free. I think students have to learn customer courtesy we dont hang up on paying clients. We inform paying clients that if they are paying seperate we need both their names at booking and if someone calls to confirm an appointment and their name is not their but they have the time and date correct JUST MAYBE that person is the 2nd person in a group booking where you chose NOT TO ASK for their name. All of this was 100% on you not the new paying client who has never been there. Now ask yourself.. how could you of handled this better than sending that new client a text message that they are now blocked due to your poor school training???

They can't wait to come back & my 3.5 year old cries when we leave. As someone with a background in education, I can tell how much skill & experience she has (she has 50 yrs of teaching experience) in everything she does with them that looks so natural but she's doing everything for a specific reason to get them closer to being proficient swimmers. We had previously only done a local ISR 2 week class with our oldest when they were very little but it was very traumatic for me & I didn't want to go back. We proceeded to wait more than an hour while they took two other patrons ahead of my son (looked potentially like other regular customers or friends) and two barbers sat in the back room and chatted, instead of helped the three would be waiting customers.
