We stayed in a cottage that comfortably slept three (and maybe four if two are children) for £300 for three nights. It was clean, with a huge bathroom (towels, etc, supplied), fully equipped kitchen (even milk, eggs, butter and bread were provided upon arrival for that first breakfast) and outside seating. The cottages are located a couple of miles from the village centre and there is access to endless walking trails a short walk from the front door. There are also a couple of restaurants and pubs all located within walking distance (but far enough not to disturb the peace of the place). The lovely horses in the pasture right across the cottage and the nesting pair of hawks were our only noisy neighbors. The only thing I didn't like was the 10am checkout.

You'll feel right at home here with ease, the staff are so lovely and will do everything to make your stay perfect. Plus it is family friendly. You can have a comfy seat outside the hotel on the rather large and stylish patio area and just look out over the very nearby sea, sand and pier. The breakfast is included in the great price of a room, and the breakfast has a great variety from continental choices to a freshly cooked breakfast. They don't currently offer dinner or lunch here as yet. The bedrooms are lovely and have the most comfy beds, so you can have a great nights sleep for sure! They offer the basic TV here with a video player too, but as they are currently updating the hotel from downstairs, I'm sure they will improve on this soon enough. Just at the foot of the Orme and alongside the pier, this hotel is amongst the best!

Its a really well appointed appartment for two people, with a spacious lounge, nice kitchen with fridge, electric cooker and microwave and one bedroom. The lounge has the basic sky tv package so after a hard day on the hills you can veg out in front of some junk tv! Its only a three minute walk into the centre of Betws y Coed with all the amenities it offers. Only one thing was disappointing really - there is no bathroom as such, there is a toilet with wash basin off the lounge, and in the bedroom there is what is described as a 'double' shower but in reality is just a large cubicle with a very temperamental electric shower - don't expect to soak your aching bones in a bath after a hard day's mountain walking!

A couple things I'd highlight: -We met one of the owners (Colin, I believe) and he was super welcoming and suggested a great local restaurant around the corner called Watsons Bistro. -The rooms are very tasteful and the beds are comfortable. -The breakfast was tasty and the service was great. -The chapel is really very beautiful/special/fantastic/all the adjectives. -We parked right outside the walls for a cheap price. It was only a few minutes walk. No big deal. Conwy and Snowdonia were our favorite places to visit on our Wales trip, and the Gwynfryn Guest House definitely contributed to that! As of last Sunday 5/20/2017~ish, the new kitchen and breakfast room has been relocated to the old church chapel - it's awesome! So, the room I stayed in was in the "vestry" and was superb! All brand new, clean and cozy - the room was perfect! The ensuite bathroom was very nice (only needed some hand soap.) During my recent trip, I stayed twice, but a week apart...kinda coming and going. Both visits were stellar. Colin was extremely cool and accommodating (only met Monica briefly - she was quite friendly). I'm not sure how soon I'll be back, but I will only stay at Gwynfryn during my next visit to Conwy - it was PERFECT! 5 stars...so SOLID!

I honestly wanted to just stay in the cosy, beautiful room and watch the UK top 40 on my tv all day long and rest and relax and enjoy life. forget the ridiculously expensive hotels that face the sea. this place is a hop, skip and a jump from the boardwalk. and nothing beats the service of a bed and breakfast. so personal and friendly! It's a family-owned and managed bed and breakfast and i swear if i'm ever lucky enough to return to Wales, I'm staying here again. I was on a 2-week long trip to Europe and going all over the place and had a huge suitcase with me and i didn't know there was no elevator. I have a bunch of herniated discs in my neck and lower back so I'd asked if anyone could help me with the suitcase and his young daughter said that she'd take care of it for me and i looked and her and said oh gosh no, let's do it together! but then her dad came by and did it himself and insisted on it and not taking a tip and i felt so horrid but so grateful. they also helped with directions and suggestions on where to go and what to see. i didn't have breakfast there but they have a beautiful breakfast area and people there were enjoying their Welsh b'fast. i grabbed some juice and was off to explore this phenomenal and unbelievably friendly town of Llandudno. The room was super clean, the bed was super comfortable, the tv had a million channels including American ones, but who's watching American tv in Wales? not me! the bathroom was excellent. great water pressure, abundance of hot water, the shower area might be small for an american dude but it was perfect for me. the day i left i had to catch an early train to london and the owner's son was SO kind and woke up at 5A.M. just to help me lug that damn suitcase downstairs. WHO DOES THAT???? i insisted on tipping and thanked him profusely. and in case you're wondering, that suitcase finally died in London and i bought a smaller suitcase to fly home with. so don't worry guys, next time i'll handle my suitcase myself ;)

I booked this very spontaneously the Friday afternoon before we stayed on the Saturday…read more It was excellent value for money where most charge per person this place were offering per room per night with breakfast thrown in. There is no parking, as advertised and I didn't think it would be as much of a problem as it was. In the end only parked 5-10 minute walk away and it was free. The outside of this place is one of the best in Llandudno let alone the street. It looks like it should be some where warmer, there are palm trees and everything is a sandy colour. The room itself is on the top floor, there were sloping ceilings and a very dark corner of the room but it is well decorated as is the bathroom. There is a bath with a shower attachment which cannot be mounted to the wall because of the low ceilings. The bathroom itself is large and airy with good lighting. The only pet peeve I have is it is fitted with a saniflow pipe system, this is when there is a box plumbed into the toilet and all pipes from bath and sink go directly into it and it pumps water out of that part of the house; usually used when there is no existing plumbing. The noise, oh the noise. I'm surprised we didn't have complaints when both of you want a bath and the water has to drain through that motor. The breakfast room was beautifully decorated with bay windows and a filling again like you should be abroad somewhere, the food was delicious and the portions good considering that it was free. Staff were friendly and courteous. I would stay again, but would think hard about it in the busy times for parking. I would also request a room on the lower floors.
