Situated in the quiet village of Penmaenmawr in the heart of Snowdonia National Park, these cottages offer stunning views and utter peace and tranquility. We stayed in a cottage that comfortably slept three (and maybe four if two are children) for £300 for three nights. It was clean, with a huge bathroom (towels, etc, supplied), fully equipped kitchen (even milk, eggs, butter and bread were provided upon arrival for that first breakfast) and outside seating. The cottages are located a couple of miles from the village centre and there is access to endless walking trails a short walk from the front door. There are also a couple of restaurants and pubs all located within walking distance (but far enough not to disturb the peace of the place). The lovely horses in the pasture right across the cottage and the nesting pair of hawks were our only noisy neighbors. The only thing I didn't like was the 10am checkout. read more
