Clean, fresh, warm and welcoming with a huge choice, a good sized portion and a very decent price. The shop itself reminds me of a French deli with all the gorgeous cheeses on display and the shelves which are home to dips, spreads and chutneys! Seriously this is my kind of place! I once had a white chocolate cheesecake in here many moons ago and the image and taste are well engraved in my memory - it looked like something out of a magazine and the taste was thick, creamy yet melting and amazing. I sound like a freak but I will never forget it - haven't tasted one like it since. I can't rave about this place and the food enough - just go, you'll love it!

This makes for a very exciting smell upon entering here in the morning! Fresh baked bread...nothing better! I come here for lunch whenever I'm in the area and sometimes when I'm not! They offer a huge range of delicious fillings and will literally put together any combination you can think up! They're not afraid to give you plenty and the prices a re great too! I'm told they also cater for functions and although have never experienced this side of the business if the food here is anything to go by it'll be a win win combination!!

You might have passed it hundreds of times and never noticed it but you really should have. It has a real feeling of an old school café - chalkboards and A4 laminates adorn the walls with daily specials and meal deals. These deals are so cheap that you'll begin to ask what the catch is? Although I assure you there isn't one. A large Americano will set you back £1.95 - possibly the cheapest in town? You can get a pasta meal deal for £4.95 which includes a drink, a slice of ciabatta and any pasta (well, any pasta they have available). I really don't think there's many places in Belfast that can complete with this value. In terms of décor Browns keeps it simple yet again - there's a few comfortable booths and some basic tables, as well as an outside seating area for smokers. I noticed that they were advertising their outside catering - something I had no idea they did. I personally don't think you can go too far wrong with Browns - if you're looking for a quick no frills lunch in the City centre it's worth a try. It's the type of place that could quickly become your regular lunch spot.

Despite being in a street with high buildings on the other side, the decór of the shop makes the place look bright and inviting. I always go here with friends I haven't seen in a while and get lost catching up with all the craic I've missed. The food is also really nice. Their sandwiches are massive and the fillings are inventive and very tasty. Their soups (which always appear to be the same 3 soups in rotation) taste amazing and I would always take advantage of their yumminess whilst waiting for my bus to university on a rainy Belfast day (most Belfast days then!). The prices are fine and the staff are great. In a city where there are tonnes of coffee shops, this is one of the best.
