I love this bank! I have two accounts here. One is a CD so not much activity there. But I am…read morethe "co-signer" for my grandson's checking account. He has a part time job so occasionally I make a deposit for him. When I come in to make his deposit, I don't need to fill out a deposit ticket. I don't need to show ID. All the bank requires from me is the name on the account and they make the deposit. Occasionally they will ask me for one piece of information to double check they have the correct account but its not an account number. In other words, they make you feel as if they know you so well (which they don't because I'm not in there on a regular basis) that they can make your deposit for you without providing the debit card, etc. I love that feeling of being in a small home town bank where everyone knows everyone. Its folksy, know what I mean? I will tell you that I shopped heavily for rates for a month before making a sizable IRA deposit. Home Bank had the best rate of return that I could find of all the banks that I checked. I even checked out credit unions, even though there are no credit unions in Mooresville. Some of them were able to match Home Bank's rate but I didn't want to travel that far. You might want to check this bank out. They still offer free gifts for opening accounts. I don't see that too much anymore.

After the extension for filling was given, i contacted them another 10 times before getting a call back and was told "my taxes would be filed late because Judd went on vacation then the office was doing a post tax season clean of the office. Because of that my taxes would be filed late, BUT WITH NO LATE FEE because it was their fault." I have had my new accountant try contacting them for a month with no reply, all because i don't want to pay a hefty late fee due to their lack of work ethics.
