The book portion of this place is a bit of a mess and it took me longer to find something that struck my fancy since there was no section devoted to mysteries (there was one for Sci Fi). They have a deal on comic books that was pretty nice so the visit was worth it. I liked it, even with its weirdness.

They also carry a huge amount of used stereo equipment and Joe can answer just about any question you might have on any subject you can come up with regarding stereo equipment, speakers, accessories and jazz music too. He's there on Wednesdays and Saturdays. One caveat: the store can be quite cluttered with stacks of boxes and records and other items and sometimes they make it hard to get through aisles or inhibit your ability to shop items they have in stock. That's to both you and the shop's detriment. I brought it up to the owner once and he got short with me, so I left and haven't been back since, only because it's about an hour's drive for me. I will be back, I just won't anger the gods anymore.

I cannot imagine the time involved with organizing and sorting. To say it's impressive is a huge understatement! My son found a few records he'd been searching for, and I bought quite a few. Prices were more than fair and we were given a generous discount at time of purchase. It was fascinating to see so much out there that was new to me. Who knew? There's definitely something here for everyone, but without a doubt our highlight was in meeting the man behind this incredible music store, Ron. It's clear to see his passion for music, and I don't believe there will ever be another place like the one he's created. We spent 4hr flipping through records, and Ron offered to check inventory for anything specific we were unable to find. I was shocked he was able to electronically file this amount of inventory, especially when he knew he had one copy, not yet properly placed on the floor, of a record I wanted. He helped search and kept telling me "if it says I have one, I have one." I finally gave up and told him I'll leave it in God's hands. Five seconds later, Ron shouts "look what I found!" He got a giant hug from me and I told him he's My Hero. (He laughed and said it was luck.) There aren't enough people like Ron left in this world, and if you don't get out and meet him I can assure you it's your loss. I bought everything from Sinatra to Night Ranger and I praise Ron again for finding the Bryan Adams album I had my heart set on finding. I've got two sons with me today and we're currently taking the hour drive out to visit Ron and hopefully buy some records. I've told everyone I know about this amazing place and the man that left me smiling. My mom reminded me people aren't around forever, and said I'd better get out to see him again or I'll regret it because he sounds like a TRUE GEM. GO. BE IN AWE OF THE SHEER VOLUME. SEARCH.FIND.BUY. I was in high school and they put it on layaway for me, letting me come in whenever I could to make payments and let me noodle around with it. Still one of the sweetest sounding guitars I've owned or played. Staff was always friendly, helpful, and let me just kinda snoop and poke around.
