Which internet provider will suit you best depensd on what suburb you live in and what your usage…read morerate is like. As someone with a fairly average usage rate (sometimes download movies or a season of Roseanne, but not acquiring huge slabs of stuff at a time) who lives on the west side of town, I find TPG do a great job. We rent a line through Telstra but get our internet through TPG. The price is quite reasonable, and we have never gone over our limit. It is generally very fast and very rarely drops out (and when it does, for no longer than two minutes). The tech support is quick and friendly too, which is important if something does go wrong. The only criticism I have is that living in a sharehouse it is very difficult to change the names on the bills - seems to be a lot of work involved. That said, I think that applies for most home service providers - electricity, gas and phone.

When he arrived he noted that there was an antenna but it wasn't working. After a lot of investigation, he figured out that the foxtel installers had drilled through the original antenna cable. He adjusted his quote and started the work. It proved to be very problematic. He stuck with it and some three hours later had delivered the required result. He then still only charged the adjusted quote which was very good value given the unforeseen problems he experienced. Would certainly recommend.

They have also offered helpful advice over the phone when I have rung them.
