They are really good people who have been around a few years. You will not see too many homes as well staged as theirs are, maximising the amount of money they can bring in for the dearly departed. (Or downsizing). I got a pair of glasses that were exactly my prescription! Both far-sited and near sighted, a pretty rare condition that happened to work great. I have lost them however. These folks wouldn't know a vintage gem if it bit them, yet price "goodwill decor" at a premium. 99% of the time you won't find a deal at these spots, but you'll wander with drones of people checking out spoon collections and department-store houswares. read more

I had dreaded having an estate sale and happened to see an estate sale sign near my home and was pleased with the signage, the prices on items and the friendliness of the staff. I met with Marietta and her team created a boutique like atmosphere in the home. They literally spent days and days pricing- looking up the prices, cleaning and staging items. She also uploaded many, many pictures for potential customers to view on-line. Even after the sale closed she continued to work on selling a couple of larger items. I was amazed that so much sold. Our parents both passed away rather unexpectedly, and my siblings and I were left with the daunting task of trying to find a new home for all of their personal belongings. Marietta and her wonderful team were kind, respectful of our process, meticulously cataloged all of their items, were extremely careful with the items in the home, hardworking, and successful in helping us close that particular chapter in a difficult part of our lives. They provide a service for families that gets far too little praise but I would call essential. Please disregard the negative post from "M H.". Her write up was just fabricated nonsense. She and her husband are two silly individuals who act like children when they don't get their way. They literally went out of their way to try and derail an estate sale and had the nerve to call us "inconsiderate" for trying to handle our deceased parent's affairs in a respectful manner. The reality is that HOA does not have any rules prohibiting an estate sale and we were given the green light from the POA to proceed, despite what she might think. We did self-manage the parking and all of the other neighbors were understanding, respectful, and supportive of the situation, despite the slight inconvenience of the traffic associated with the sale from time to time. read more

I highly recommend Austin Capital Estate Sales! Marietta and her team are the best of the best. They handled my mother's Estate sale with results that exceeded our expectations. They organized, cleaned/washed, researched, and displayed her items in such a beautiful and professional manor. The amount of work that they accomplished in a 3500 sq ft home packed with 60 years of memories was astounding. Their pricing is fair, and her fees are completely reasonable. She handles the items with such care, and took the time to set aside those priceless family pictures/ heirlooms for us to pick up in case we might have missed them. I went to my first ACES estate sale in March 2023 and was so impressed I went back for the following two days of the sale! First, the friendly, helpful, proactive customer service from all the staff was amazing. I did not ever have to look for staff or ask for help with anything-- it was offered graciously! But no sales pressure at all, in fact staff told me about the follow up discount days! Then, the organization and presentation of all the items (in this big house with lots of items inside and outside) made it a pleasure to look at everything and spend lots of time viewing. Then, the prices were in that extremely hard to find 'sweet zone' where they were very fair to both the buyer and the seller. First day was followed by increasing discounts on following days, so there were lots of real bargains. Finally, I needed help finding transport for a very big item and Marietta went beyond any expectations helping with this! More than any assistance I've ever experienced with other estate sale companies. I have definitely scoped out their next sale on Apr 28 and will follow them via EstateSales.net. My Mom recently died and our family needed to hire someone for an estate sale. I came across the ACES website and gave them a call. Marietta owns the company and setup an appointment for a visit a week later. After meeting with her, I could tell she knew her stuff and had done this before. Dealing with the death of your parents is bad enough but Marietta has no compassion. My estate sale was scheduled weeks in advance. I signed a contract with her. The day before they were supposed to come and prepare she sent me a text cancelling the sale. Not honoring the contract with no consequence. Setting me back 6 weeks finding another company. She said that "she had a meeting with her girls and we are just too pooped to do another sale right now" They were coming off a very large sale (on the golf course @ onion creek)and did not want to do my smaller one. she is a money grubber. do not trust her. she would not answer or return my calls only the one text message. the added expense to me was difficult since i am on disability. my sale was middle range but she only cares about making the big money and i guess they made enough from the last one to cancel mine at the very last second. please believe the other one star reviews. these people are very nice to you up front but beware! they know what they are doing and how to play the game to take your money. dont trust her! you have been warned. read more

When my husband and I decided to move to a smaller house in another state I got the idea to have an estate/downsize sale instead of trying to move everything we had cross country. I thought there would be no problem finding a company to hold the sale, but I was naïve. The first few companies I talked were quick to let me know that we might not meet their requirements for having an estate sale. We had a lot of large items to sell, but no big ticket items like antiques, jewelry, or expensive pieces of art.
