Austin CDL Service lacks in professionalism and integrity. I don't mind paying for instruction from honest and reputable businesses but Austin CDL Service lacks in professionalism and integrity. They shouldn't take advantage of those trying to learn. After paying so much money for extra driving instruction, they decide to surprise the student by changing the truck they were supposed to pre-inspection test and driving test on. What is even worst, they provided the pre-trip inspection review and list the day before the test. No reputable school would think of doing this unless they don't care about their reputation and much less about their student's. By the way, when you schedule appointments for unsuspecting people, make sure you don't enter info@austincdlservices.com instead of the person's email address and make sure that the information you provide your student's to login to https://txdpsscheduler.com/ is correct. Giving them false information is the oldest trick in the book not to mention fraud. DPS has been made aware of the fraudulent move on your part. read more

This place sucks. All there is to it. Their trucks are out of date. As a business we sent one of our drivers to attend their class for $1,700 to obtain a class B license. When our driver went to go take his test at the DPS he had to reschedule a whole month out because the air lines to THEIR OWN TRUCK had a leak. Now, we called to talk to the owner and let's just say the guy is a real piece of work, he lacks professionalism and is lazy as hell when it comes to checking his trucks. They obviously don't pre inspect their trucks before tests. The owner proceeded to tell me their was no solution and we had to wait for another appointment to cancel. Then he proceeded to use vulgar language with me and told us that it was out of his control! Lol. How is that out of his control. In other words.. Don't let this happen to you! read more

Got my CDL w Austin CDL, it was not easy for me and I needed a lot of support. The ACDL team is great, the driving instructors are smart and patient. The admin people are amazing - they know how to work the system to get the DPS appointments that you need. And they keep you lined up with your schedule. Really the whole team works together very well to get you through the crazy bureaucratic process. I had no indication of the things that the negative reviews are saying...The ACDL approach is mostly self-guided, you have to work/study. They are there for you, but it's on you. read more

When I called, eddie torres, of " Austin CDL services" for the first time, I called about using his truck for my class A driving test. The cost to take this course was listed at $1,750 on their website. I walked into eddies office to pay for the course, except when I arrived, the price went up too $1,900. Though the increase was random I accepted and decided to move forward. ( the website never mentions anything about a return policy btw) so I paid and went on my way. One week later I called Mr. Eddie torres to meet with him and basically start the program. He agreed to meet in manor...I live in cedar park (30miles away from manor) when I arrived, the receptionist told me that "eddie left for lunch' and that 'he would return soon". So i say there in the office for from 9:30am-11:15am. He was so unprofessional that his receptionist walked outside to call and tell him that I had been waiting on him for almost two hours...Eddie torres never showed up nor did he call back to acknowledge his absence or the fact he stood me up. I was late for work that day. Of all my years on this earth.. never had anyone done that too me especially when $1,900 is on the line. I showed up to the office on Monday morning upset and demanded a refund. He snapped back so fast at me that I was caught me off guard. He upset with me because I explained my frustration in front of potential customers. Let me add that eddie torres' brother and two receptionist were present for the whole ordeal. So!... after we exchanged words he decided to call the cops. Saying that I am trespassing on his property...no lie! He told the investigators that I had a weapon as well... everyone knows that when someone says the word "weapon" during a phone call to the police, that the officers approachthe situation with their guns drawn. At that moment I got in my truck and left. Eddies torres said that I'm not getting my refund bite will I be able to finish the course I never got a chance to participate in. I didn't trust him at all. Who bails on you when they have $1900 invested. He was trying to bully me until my father got involved. Which I received a return call from torres saying that he would pay me $1600. Anyone reading this.. here's a quick exercise for you. Go to the nearest DPS(department of public safety) headquarters and request a "CDL handbook" you will soon find out that book is free to the public.. as well as motorcycle handbooks. Eddie torres charged me $300 For something that is free to the public. When I signed the contract... there was nothing in the contract that covers a $300 handbook. So to conclude my frustration I plan on completing this review. Next I'll call the "better business bureau ", I was told that KVUE news would be great to alert others of dangers such as my situation. It's either that or small claims court. If anyone is bothered and they have nowhere to turn then I advise this process to ensure justice. I have pictures too prove my claims as well. So court should be a breeze. On another note. Small claims court is a 20 to 30 minute session. No lawyer needed. Just have witnesses and evidence backing your claim. read more

Awesome school! I just scored 100% on my driving test, now have a Class A CDL with tanker endorsement. I always have loved driving and had a lot of fun with my trainer. I had trouble understanding how to reverse with a trailer and over several driving sessions now I can control the trailer with ease! I do not own a personal vehicle and live in South Austin, but that was no problem, because a trainer was always able to pick me up from the nearest bus stop. So do not be discouraged if the office is far away from you, they will take care of you. Totally worth the 1.5 hour bus trip to here. 10-4 read more

Do not waste money with these scammers. The purposely schedule your test months after you take your courses. The trucks are not even suitable for taking a test. They have several open complaints with DOT right now and they need to be shut down. They are liars and scammers that is all there is to it. read more

I did a lot of research on where to get my Class A CDL in Austin and surrounding areas and found that there are not many places that offer, the few that do are outrageous in cost. One school wanted over $4000! The most cost effective location was Austin CDL and I am glad I chose them. The location is not a fancy facility but I prefer to pay for my training rather than overhead. I needed weekend training and they were accommodating. The trucks are newer models, clean and in great condition. These guys had a wealth of knowledge, they are all skilled drivers with years of experience, Teddy was awesome and he taught me so many little tricks to help me maneuver my trailer correctly. I was extremely impressed with the detailed pre-trip inspection I was taught. I learned the rationale which in turn helped me understand the function of each component, my DMV tester even commented on how impressive my pre-trip inspection was. Needless to say I passed on my first try, I truly cannot say enough good things about the training I got. Do not waste time or money any where else, you will learn all you need to get your CDL at a fraction of what others charge. read more
