My coworkers and I went on a weekend trip to Austin a few weeks ago and were very impressed by Austin's Boat Tours! Angel was very easy to schedule with and made sure we had an excellent time. We had 18 on the boat and there was enough space for us to comfortably ride out to the docking location. Once we made it in a good location in the lake, our captain grilled amazing burgers and hotdogs for us as we took turns sliding and jumping into the lake. Everyone at Austin Boat's Tours was very friendly and helpful, from my calling to ask a question about booking a date, then needing direction in the parking lot, and having ice brought to us on the dock - it was fabulous experience. Captain Mike was so nice, friendly, and accommodating. With it being our first time we were expecting a sedate afternoon moseying on the Lake Travis but hooking onto the other boats was a lot more fun! The Lilly pad, the water slide, and the great (loud) Bluetooth stereo made the day really enjoyable and memorable. It was also very nice having the shade below the top deck. If you are a group of women STAY AWAY from this company! My group of girls had a great experience with the company up until we stepped on to the boat and was in the presence of the unskilled captain. He was extremely improper. As soon as we stepped on the boat he was complaining about the family on the previous ride. Which made us feel intimidated and uncomfortable around him. When we got to our spot and he dropped the anchor, he kept making inappropriate comments to some of the girls in the group. Such as " Im a scorpio and they are playful very playful" and "girls from New Orleans got naked the boat the other day and that's okay". These were some of the many comments he made. His actions as a captain were also inappropriate and irresponsible. He was not attending to the boat as he was in fact too busy going down the slide and hanging out and flirting with the women in the water. The worst part about this is that when my friend went to go hand her phone over to her sister the captain I guess felt comfortable to intersect and try and grab my friends phone and by doing this he dropped it in the water. Evidentially the company needed to get the phone out of the water due to the captain dropping the phone. So the next day they got the phone out, but obviously the phone is not water proof and it stopped working. I explained the horrible experience to the unscrupulous owner of the company, and he showed ZERO remorse and tried gaslighting our experience and said that we should take some responsibility on what happen. We did NOT receive reimbursement for the phone, but with the MANY back and forth messages I had with their team they gave us a a whopping $280 for "captains fee". We as women felt completely belittled and dismissed of the situation. read more

We planned a trip to Lake Travis and decided to rent a boat because we really enjoyed the boats last summer. This boat ride was the best one we've ever been on!! From the start, all of the staff was incredibly accommodating. We had a group of 18 and Captain Michael B was amazing. I would definitely recommend requesting him if possible, he was the best captain we've ever had. He was incredibly patient when part of our group showed up a little late, he kept us entertained while waiting and is incredibly personable. We brought burgers and hot dogs and he cooked those up for us at the perfect time. 2 and a halfish. I really wanted to like this place as I do see myself spending more times in Lake Travis with this Texas heat. I booked this 15 person boat at least 2/3 months in advance. 1. Nowhere on the receipts or calls i made was I informed parking on property is $50 plus tax! That's five zero y'all. 2. We were scheduled at 3 and ended up leaving til 4:30. One hour and a half delay. 3. If I had not gone up looking for answers no one would have told us what was going on, common courtesy so we can make arrangements for our plans after. (Lost dinner reservations ) communication was lacking. 4. "Suggested tip" means it's being charged . 5. I was told I would receive a call from the manager on a Monday to address the issue. No call, so i contacted them Tuesday and spoke to a representative who said there was nothing more to do than what she was told. Never spoke to a manager. Not #leslieapproved read more

An absolute MUST if you take a trip to Austin - especially if you are there for a bachelorette party or with a large group! Let's start off with the events leading up to our boat ride. We were in town for Hurricane Harvey (womppp) when we realized that it made the most sense to move our rental date up Austin Boat Tours was able to accomodate us no problem. This was a major win, because our weekend just wouldn't have been the same without the boat trip. Now, onto the actual tour. Our entire experience was top notch from start to finish. We were picked up at the hotel in a party bus and then driven about a half an hour to Lake Travis. The bus was able to stop off at a convenience store for us to pick up drinks and snacks. The boat was absolutely incredible - it was a large double decker pontoon boat and was comfortably able to fit our party of 14. There was also a waterslide at the top of the boat, and a surround sound speaker system on the boat. Our guide Adam was extremely sweet and accommodating, and went out of his way to make sure that everyone was having a really great time. He also will make lunch for you! For an extra 12 dollars you can add on hot dogs and cheeseburgers which is definitely necessary during a long day of drinking on the lake. The cost of a boat is pretty pricey, so prepare to spend upwards of 1,000 dollars if you want a large double decker boat. But, for that price you are getting door to door transportation, an experienced boat captain, lunch and hours of fun on the lake. Absolutely worth it for a one of a kind experience while visiting Austin! read more

Honestly.. it was one of the best days of our lives. Lee was our captain, and JD was our server. We asked for a server who was a good time and THEY DELIVERED! Captain Lee was attentive and professional and a real life angel! Couple details: -16 people (had plenty of room to maneuver) -They have a massive cooler on deck.. (250 cans I think) but we brought several coolers. We could have saved a little room without our extra coolers! They have a big wagon to help haul supplies down to the water. -Don't wear uncomfortable/impractical shoes, you have to walk a hill to and from the boat. -Pay for the server. JD kept the partying rolling so we could enjoy every last minute of our 4 hour tour. Would absolutely book again! 10/10 read more

Absolutely phenomenal experience. 25 friends and I chartered a boat for labor day/splash weekend and was fortunate to have Captain Jessica aka Captain Juice Sea as our leading lady. She was friendly, efficient, strict on safety rules but most importantly fun. Our boat had trouble anchoring but she is such a bad ass that she tied to 5 additional boats (yes totaling 6) and drove all of the boats at once to an area where we can all anchor safety and it turned into one hell of a party.
