It was such a blast! Us girls were a bachelorette trip and had the best time ever with Captain Cole. He went over the rules and safety measures before starting and got to cruise around some super cool houses and finally parked in one spot by the bridge near other boats. Speakers were loud and good quality. Cooler was plenty big with ice. Bring your own towels and drinks! 12 of us fit good on the 34' double decker pontoon without feeling cramped. read more

I had no problems getting my questions answered and it was easy getting it booked, even from another city. My group had a great time with Big Tex Boat Rentals and Captain Corbin. Corbin did a great job for our trip. They respond within a day via email. We celebrated the Fourth of July and got to see the fireworks. Tip: I'd recommend booking a 4 hour trip if you can because ours was 3 hours and it felt too short. Nonetheless we had a fun and memorable time! More Tips: There are no bathrooms on the boat, he has a cooler with ice but bring extra ice, there's a Bluetooth speaker, and it takes about 30-40min to get to and from the dock. We took a fetii and they charged us $5 per person to enter the marina property. If you drive yourself I believe parking is $20. The water was about 40% low that day so water was rushing in our boat, and my friend lost her shoe lol. So make sure you put your stuff in the bins or hold onto them, incase that happens on the day you go too. read more

Easy from beginning to end. Big Tex answered all of my questions and booking was easy. Day of, Captain Joe was waiting for us with a great attitude ready to take us out for a day on the lake. I rented a boat from this company for my birthday, and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience from start to finish. First, the customer service was rude and unhelpful. I tried to adjust my reservation because more people were coming than I originally planned for, and instead of offering options or being understanding, the person I spoke with was extremely rude. He told me he was tired of me trying to change things and made me feel like I was being a burden, which I found completely unprofessional and disrespectful. On the day of the event, the police stopped our boat, the music was turned off, and party complete halt. We were delayed for over and hour and half because, apparently, the captain didn't have necessary documentation. After that, we were forced to return to the dock early. The only positive thing I can say is that the captain was nice and had a good attitude. read more

After much research with all of the boat companies for Lake Travis, we rented a boat a couple of weekends ago for a Bachelorette, and it was really fun! Our captain was very polite and helpful. We were a bit late for our time, but he still accomdated us and helped with all of our belongings. He even had his dog, sheila! We rented a pontoon with a slide, and it was perfect for eight girls. The boat came with a yeti cooler and Bluetooth speakers. The captain will stop at the marina store on the way to the Cove, and I would recommend using the bathroom here as there was none on the boat. These guys are top notch. We had to cancel a weekly scheduled lesson session due to rain. They went above and beyond and took us out on a non-scheduled lesson day to make sure we got our session in. Captain Bri was the worst captain we ever had. She talked about our bodies weirdly and cussed around my children, even told them pretend your parents aren't here so you can play inappropriate music. She also talked to my kids about politics, religion, and very inappropriate, my kids are still young and shouldn't know any of this until I tell them. Zach was our captain and for the beginning he did introduce himself but after that that was it. He seemed to be annoyed or bothered whenever we would ask a question or would bring something to his attention. We had asked if we could turn up the volume, if he could turn on the water to the slide because it was really hot, to bring the ladder down so we can get on and off the boat, and whenever we were getting off the boat if he could get us closer and he didn't and just made uhhh noise for everything. A friend of mine almost twisted her ankle getting off because he didn't want to get us closer to land. I've been on boat rides before and the captains are always so attentive and enthusiastic. Zach was the opposite and laid down and just expected our group of 10 women to know and do things on our own other than dealing with the anchor. read more
