It is only a small practice with no more than 3 doctors but offers a private and intimate medical service, unlike some of the much larger walk-in clinics around Adelaide. The building is nice and there is a small car park with ample parking. The best thing about this clinic is there is a chemist right next door and a pathology centre in the same complex. This means you can grab your prescriptions straight away and/or have blood taken or make appointments quickly and easily. And when you are feeling crappy you just want to get home, and this really facilitates this. Payments options vary however I believe it is partial bulk billed, but it is best to check with your doctor or the reception staff when you arrive or ring to make an appointment. The waiting time was minimal and I always got in within a day and a half notice if not sooner, which is really great when you require immediate antibiotics or medical attention.

Be prepared to wait in Emergency. The triage system means that others will go in front of you if you're not the most acute patient, and there are emergency cases that arrive by ambulance that you may not be aware of, so pack distraction for the patient & something for yourself. Vending machines dispense sandwiches, drinks etc and during working hours the Kiosk run by volunteers has the best priced sandwiches in the area. If you can, stroll down Gallery A to the right of Emergency entrance - the artworks may help you refocus and relax for a few moments. Be polite to the staff - they're doing the best they can under financial and time restraints.

The standard of care is world class, all medical and non-medical staff are expert and professional, training and procedures are very obviously rigorous, and the level of communication between departments is fantastic (though not perfect). We never felt like we were being pushed out, not even for a minute - in fact, at the slightest indication that there might be something further that needed checking out, we were told to stay for further testing and monitoring. Parking is a bit of a hassle - the two official car parks are nearly always full (but the one under the hospital is a baffling $12 for 48hrs!). There is plenty of street parking if at least one person is willing to walk a bit, but most of it is 2P on weekdays, so beware (I saw them giving fines, although I didn't get one myself). If you don't mind a 10-minute walk up to Barton Terrace, there is unlimited free parking up near the horse paddock up there. The hospital cafe is good, cheap, and has a decent selection of packaged and fresh food, as well as free tea and free instant coffee. There's a lot of space and it's never crowded. $10.50 for a full meal during meal times. Like all hospitals, there are people smoking outside the entrance where it's highly irritating to everyone, even though there is a perfectly good smoking area just across the road with benches and ashtrays. This doesn't have anything to do with the hospital administration, it's more of a general gripe against annoying people, but I needed to get that out there, so thanks for listening. Once in the car park however, there's plenty of space and getting out is a breeze via the back lane-way. There is a door directly from the back car park to the reception, or if you have parked elsewhere, there's a door at the front too. Inside, you're greeted by a friendly receptionist who will likely tell you, you need an appointment, which you could've made over the phone. As these are great radiologists and there is only one other location in Adelaide, appointments generally need to be made days in advance.

It was purpose built not that long ago so it is nice and new on the inside with all the features to make your stay more comfortable. They definitely get through the workload quicker than the hospitals. They offer opthamology, oral surgery, orthopaedic surgery, paediatric, plastic, reconstructive and cosmetic surgery. In and out in a day and all in nice facilities. Worst part is the parking. There are only 2 drop off / pick up parks out front and very minimal parking other than paid in a high priced city car park. Make sure you have plenty of coins with you in case you are lucky enough to get a street park as it will be ticket parking too and limited time.

The hospital was originally named the Adelaide Military Hospital and was purpose built back in the…read more1940's to serve Australia's returning men and women after serving their duty during the war. It also served an army camp located on Springbank Rd for all medical needs. The services extended to family of those who served in the war as everyone had to cope with the trauma of war physically, mentally and emotionally, so they also assisted with psychological therapy as well as physiotherapy. Nowadays, it still continues to play an important part and has also extended its services to the general public. To go there is like going in amongst an army barracks as that was the style it was modelled on, it's all single story for easy access but it is a horizontal maze. The complex also houses a cafe and a gift shop. It basically offers a specialist service for various medical conditions and patients are accepted via a referral from a GP. The referrals are usually for people who do not have private health cover for treatment, and they do have excellent clinic and xray services for outpatients. I once actually managed to get a referral for some physiotherapy but once they learnt I had private health cover (despite the fact I was technically unemployed), I was dismissed from receiving any more treatment.

I have had to attend their Out Patient Department over the past two years and have found the staff most helpful, attentive, and very professional. The Medical staff are highly specialised, giving me great confidence in the treatment I have received. Since I was a…read morelittle tacker this has been the local clinic that provided my siblings and I with all the antibiotics necessary when illness prevailed. Now in my adult life, on the rare occasion that I choose to visit a clinic this is the one I still stand by. It's convenient, its local and it is covered by Medicare. The staff are friendly and the Doctors for the most part (but not whole part) are great. Additionally I find Kingswood Clinic to be fairly efficient and unlike many other clinics, I have never found myself waiting long to see a Doctor. Having said that, it definitely helps to make an appointment prior to attending.

Marion Medical Centre came as a pleasing surprise when I was rushed to the hospital by friends after a soccer injury ( read my review on Repat Hospital). Upon surrending my Medicare at reception, I didn't have to wait for my name to be called by the attending physician, instead I was brough immediately into the emergency room and attended by the nurse. The doctor saw me immediately and later I was whisked to the Xray room, whilst the other nurse cared for my sons ( very sweet of them!), and onced the results came out, the doctor saw me again and shared it was a soft tissue injury in absence of a broken arm. Extremely pleased with the service, attentive staff and you don't need to wait long to see the doctor. Perfect for parents with kids especially after office hours and the weekends, should an emergency arise.

All of the stars! This has got to be the best doctor's clinic I've ever been to. Not the sort of…read moresentence that gets used often, but darn it - it's true! I'm willing to come down here from the Northern suburbs because I know I will get well looked after. The reception staff are friendly and helpful and all the doctors I've seen (which is most of them since I just take available appointment times rather than see one doctor regularly) have been excellent. They are really attentive, take the time to listen to you and make sure they get the full story. No hasty prescription writing to bustle you out of the door or ordering of unnecessary tests. Appointments do tend to run overtime - pretty standard for any GP though - and I would put it down to the doctors being thorough. The waiting room is worth a mention too; plenty of chairs and couches and a big area for kids with plenty toys appropriate for different ages.
