Dan and I met via Zoom which made me feel comfortable during the pandemic. I found that I was still able to relax and reach a hypnotic state, especially being in the comfort of my own home. I have been losing weight since we started our sessions, but more importantly, I have lost any symptoms of depression and almost all of my anxiety. In the past weeks, I feel like I have woken up from a years-long slumber. I've been more upbeat and productive, while spending less time overthinking. It was truly life-changing. In the first session, Dan gave some background about what to expect over the course of treatment. I was given some pre-work, including reading some chapters of Dan's book. I couldn't put it down and read the whole thing! Dan also provided "homework" recordings and taught me strategies to use daily, in between our sessions. Dan is a great listener and relator. He took the time to get to know me and understand where I've been and where I want to go. Throughout the sessions, Dan peppered in comments about his own experiences, which made me feel he was a true ally. Some friends have asked me why I chose to take this route instead of simply dieting. What sets this approach apart is that all diets I've tried focus on the present and future. In our hypnotherapy sessions, Dan started by helping me resolve things in my past that were the root causes for my putting on weight. Additionally, I found that hypnosis made changing my lifestyle rather effortless. With my newfound energy and drive, I didn't feel like I was having to try so hard or have as much willpower in order to find success. At this point, I'm optimistic that my weight loss will continue. I'm thrilled with my progress so far in improving other areas of my life, and I can't recommend Dan enough!
