The staff of ladies are all helpful and knowledgeable when it comes to fabric, batting and stabilizing materials. Veronica, the owner has put together a great crew of amazing people to serve fresno. I've never known of a repair shop that requests payment BEFORE they even analyze the problem and then after a lengthy wait to hear back, demands more money to order the parts to do the work. Calls were not returned and were often disconnected while awaiting a reply. If you need your vacuum cleaner to be repaired and quickly returned, then this is not the best place to go. After almost a month, the Dyson was returned and does work as expected. The second star is for a vacuum cleaner that works. read more

I walked in on a Thursday afternoon and was greeted by 3 different hellos as soon as I walked in. Everyone was so helpful! I had never been in and was wanting to get a belt for my Bissell Pet I was greeted by Mary (I think was her name) and she showed me around the whole store. So many cool things you can do like embroidery, quilting, sewing and surging. So many ideas were swirling in my head. Today at about 10am, I walked into this store and went to the front counter where there was a blonde lady talking on the phone. I was there to buy a part for a Bernina 930 Record. I stood there for 10 minutes waiting at the front counter for someone to help me before ultimately deciding to leave. The woman on the phone never even acknowledged me or told me to wait for her. Two other female employees and the owner, who saw me standing there, remained talking among each other near the displays on the front wall. They also never even came over to talk to me. Then I got my hopes up when I saw a man walk out onto the floor from the double doors in the back. He made eye contact with me, I thought to myself "THANK GOODNESS, FINALLY. Someone is here help me," but... he kept walking over to talk with the owner. He never bothered to come over to me either. In the end, not one person came over to talk to me-- Not even the white scruffy dog that was roaming the store came to say hello. This place is terrible. read more

I first came in a few months ago for my Sewing Machine to be serviced. I noticed a Bernina 435 & my hubby said he saw a couple online that were cheaper however it was during a Holiday Sale. After talking to the sales lady & her talking to her manager, we got the machine for the price we wanted plus Military Discount. God is Good. A nice lady gave me their card and told me to give them a call with the model number so they could see if they carried it. I got the model number and stopped back by on a different day. Score! I came in just looking around August of 2020, partly because I was obsessed with sewing machines. As I was browsing around and looking to see if they carried vacuum bags for my two vacuum cleaners, I saw the B770 on the floor. I heard of Bernina but never really gave it a thought. When my mom was alive, she raised me in a household of commercial and domestic machines, huge cutting tables, dress forms, patterns, people getting fitted, all-night sewing, and the whole shebang. She would pop in the sewing machine shops to look at the latest new machines, as I'd follow eagerly behind her. She couldn't afford them, but she had to try them out. It was fun for me nevertheless because I was always intrigued. However, the bug never really hit until April 2021, the pandemic, and retirement. And after sewing a few stitches on that first B770 in August 2020, quiet, precise, and beautifully designed, that was it for me. I researched the history of the brand and knew that was what I wanted. So, Jane, my sales representative, gave me a demo on another model, the B790, and showed me all that it could do, but that one was over my head in cost but sewed like the B770. Jane showed me other machines that were less costly. Then, just before I was about to leave, a lady with a big smile and friendly disposition came over and introduced herself as Veronica, the owner, by the way, asking what machine I was looking at. I believe I was looking at a 5-series. She mentioned having a brand new B770, an unopened box, and for a great price. Anyway, it took me about a month to plan and make up my mind, then in April 2021 is when I got my B770. I have three machines from before, my beginner Janome, a Viking Emerald, the first vintage electronic singer, and now the B770QE. I love it, and the quality is immeasurable, the design is very easy to look at, quite the contrary to other makes and models. I'd be remiss if I didn't say customer service was excellent. Had a great experience buying my vacuum. 6 months later it needed maintenance so I took it in since it was under warranty. It took them 6 weeks to get it finished. I called after 2 weeks and was told the parts were on backorder. 2 weeks after that I got a call that my vacuum actually hadn't been touched at all. It was overlooked and they were gonna get started on it. I was getting frustrated with the wait time so I called again 2 weeks later and the lady I spoke to rudely insisted that I was called to pick it up 3 days prior. Updating my review because I received an independent callback from them 4 days later stating that because it's only a minor repair, the store owner would like to honor the original quote of $60. The machine still isn't ready yet (tomorrow will make it 4 weeks since I took it in for repair), but it was a welcome surprise to get that call. As soon as I had agreed to the $150 minor repair over the phone the last time I spoke with them, I had been seriously regretting that decision. Took my serger in because it was just putting out 4 threads and not interlocking. Asked them to fix that problem. Was promised that the machine would be done in a week. After the week was up I called again and promised my machine by Friday (another week). Called Friday and was told they would call me when it was done, but couldn't promise anything. Went to pick up machine and it cost $125! Evidently they took it upon themselves to "service" my machine. They weren't asked to do anything but fix the problem. Also, I've read other people stating that when they brought their sewing machine in with a problem they were confronted with buying a new one, that their machine was not worth fixing. This happened to me. I had a beautiful Singer machine (top of the line) and a plastic part had broken. They told me it had several plastic parts that soon would be breaking also and talked me into buying a new machine. They gave me $100 for my machine and told me they would use it for parts. These people are CROOKS. Never again will I trust them with any machine of mine. read more

DON'T GO HERE! I should have know better, after reading the reviews, but this shop is so close to my house, I thought I would try it. I brought in an old sewing machine with a non-working bobbin. The tech diagnosed it with broken gears and said it would cost $400 to repair it. (All this happened during the first 3 minutes I was there.) The owner (I think she was the owner) immediately, and I mean immediately, tried to see me a new machine, telling me mine wasn't worth repairing. So, I packed up my machine, took it to Budds Sewing and Vac (on E. Belmont Ave.) and they charged $100 to put in new gears. It works great and I just saved $300. It was definitely worth the effort to drive a few miles and save $300! read more

Our response was No, we were bringing in a vacuum to have repaired. I was approached by a man who was threatening and said "Don't Eye Ball Me" and "I could take you" or words to that effect. We brought up that this isn't how you treat customers and customers should be treated with respect and not be given instructions as soon as they entered the door, we were told we were just "one customer". Ive never experienced such treatment from a place of business. We were told to leave and we considered calling the police but instead contacted The Vacuum Company's Customer Service and an investigation was launched. Do not do business with Authorized Vac & Sew.
