The dealerships that sell them need to be notified that as consumers we hate them. Stop selling it to us. They are currently denying the turbo on my BMW. The dealership told us they feel terrible and knows they are scamming us. If your car dealer offers you this warranty please run away. Ask for another warranty company. Please look at the BBB before getting this extended warranty. They will do anything to not cover the cost. If something is supppse to be covered they will try to find a loophole to not cover especially if it is expensive. I agree with all of these comments except the one with the 5 star rating. Must be an employee or friend of the owner. I sent in 5 issues and not a single one was covered. SCAM !!! I got the platinum plan thinking I would be covered for just about anything. Turns out our 1st claim we didn't do it correctly so they did not pay and the 5 items we just put a claim in for are all not covered items. There are loopholes through the contract and they only look for ways to not pay. Very poor customer service. Horrible! Went on a Friday to get new brakes. One of the calipers had an issue and had to be replaced. I didn't have my information with me because again was just getting brakes. Didn't expect to need anything more. I called and they hung up on me 3 times because I didn't have my policy number and they refused to look anything up or help in any way. I had no choice but to okay the work as I was away from home and had no way to get the information and needed my car. They then refused to cover the part that clearly stated they would. Now I'm dealing with them for more things and it's a headache and a run around. I should have saved the damn money and bought a better car. This company needs to go out of business so they stop tricking people into believing they can help them. They just take your money and run. Must be nice to run a business where you get paid to scam people! UPDATED ON THEIR REPLY: I didn't have the contract number as I don't keep important documents in my car. This was a route job which became much more PLUS I was far away from home. Your company needs another way to verify customers if the contract number isn't on hand. I can't even begin to describe how self serving these people are. I recently opened up a claim because my engine needed work. They requested I send them reciept from the last 45000 miles along with a copy of my registration, which I did. Needless to say, my claim was declined because of a recurring clerical error in which my regular shop was not updating the mileage on my receipts. I then told them, that it was just a clerical error (according to the shop) and offered to send in bank statements backing each and every single one of the reciepts. According to one of the "managers" there "The fact that you paid these isn't relevant. The mileage doesn't make sense". She then started mentioning how the contract states that the reciepts have to be perfect and how there was nothing I could do. So basically, the money I paid them is pocketed and that's that. Make no mistake, these people are not here to help you. Do not give them your money. Terrible experience. Purchasing platinum (best option) extended warranty was 100 % sure I will have absolutely no problem when brought my car to audi dealership for a blinking "check engine " light. Another dissatisfied policy holder. I had a timing chain stretch that was listed as covered in my policy. After spending too much time, and money on tear down and discussions with AutoSource ESP reps, the claim was denied. The best part is they refused to provide the reason for denying my claim in writing. As many had said, they will find a loophole and not pay for any substantial repair. Is it fair? For them you bet. They are not a service provider, they are a paper revenue bait and switch. Soulless money grabbers with sad dispositions as they know they're dirt bagging America. If I can give negative stars I would. I did purchased an extended warranty for $1600 which supposed to cover engine and transmission. It turns out to be that it doesn't cover anything at all. Be smart and don't waist your money. They will only get to keep it and give something under the table to the dealer who made the sale. If you have the option, choose another 3rd party warranty company. I chose the "platinum" package with Auto Source. I have a BMW and encountered an issue with the Ignition Coil and Spark Plugs. Car was taken to BMW dealership and they indicated Auto Source was the worst warranty company they have ever dealt with. At the end of the day, Auto Source declined to cover the cost of the repair, adding up to $1,124. I am filing a complaint with the Department of Insurance and Attorney General regarding my claim. read more

AutoSource only gets one star because Yelp makes you give at least one Star. Actually they get Sh!+ rating from me. DO NOT... I repeat, DO NOT purchase an extended service warranty from AutoSource of America, LLC. Ther advertised service coverage is bogus. 1. AutoSource tells you they will replace defective parts. LOL because they will. They will replace defective parts with parts from titled salvage and junk cars. You can opt to replace the part with new, but they will only pay the price of the lowest refurbished, salvage, or junk replacement part they can find worldwide on the internet. True story. For a $900 OEM part, they offered to send me a $160 replacement part from a crashed car with a 30 day warranty from the junkyard. They would not warranty the part themselves. I refused the junk replacement part, so AutoSource only paid $160 of the new OEM part. 2. AutoSource will come up with bogus and ridiculous requirements as a tactic to deny claims. Every claim is an ordeal. They even denied a claim that the adjuster deemed a guaranteed covered claim. We thought it was just us until reading multiple reviews of the same tactics being used on numerous clients. Of course we had to seek an attorney to take it to court. 3. AutoSource will not pay today's Labor Rates, so expect to shell out a lot more money on top of the thousands you paid for your plan and new replacement parts they will only pay pennies for. Oh yeah, lets not exclude the extra money you will shell out in legal fees when you too have to drag them to court. 4. Customer service is lacking every bit of proffesionalism. We get every impression this is some Mob related boiler room type of scam outfit. This company truly needs to be investigated. We just dont understand how BBB doesnt have a multitude of complaints and negative reviews about AutoSource. There are tons of negative reviews throughout the internet search engines... Run..don't walk away! Do not invest in any product offered by your dealer that is supported by this group. You may want to rethink the dealer too. I had purchased the "Unlimited" "Lifetime" warranty as we tend to keep our cars a long time and thought it would be a good investment given we purchased our pre-owned car from a dealer that acquired it at auction. Six months later the transmission starts to have problems. Initially they tried to weasel out of any obligation by demanding the service records; fortunately I had receipts and records but pity the poor guy that doesn't. I had an estimate from the local Volvo specialist who advised against rebuilding and supported just replacing which was $700 more. AutoSource exercised its right under the agreement to take the car to a shop of its choice - which is not something that is overtly discussed at time of sale so read carefully as always. Weeks later we received the car back. Only 5 months later the transmission failed again. It was returned to where it had been repaired previously and after a period of 4 weeks we got the car back - only to have it fail three days later! I forgot to mention that the service provider told me that the agent from AutoSource told him to upcharge me for parts (to my account) and reduce the labor charge (to AutoSource's account). When I brought up this collusion with the owner, he rectified the over-charge but first impressions are touch to break. During the process, I had persistently been advising against band-aiding the problems but to no avail. As a result, 3 years later the transmission is failing again! Now AutoSource is claiming that they have reached their limitation of liability but are failing to provide any proof of expenditures. We certainly cannot trust what limited invoices we received given the prior collusive behavior. It should be a simple manner to provide proof of payment and when it isn't we must wonder what is really going on here? As I opened with...RUN AWAY QUICKLY. These people are terrible. Don't buy an extended warranty from them. They have people who dance around the problem with lame explanations, you can hear people coaxing them in the background on what to say. I provided all service records, my repair facility gave them in depth reports and they still denied repairs on a covered part for some bizarre reason and they won't refund the cost of the policy either. Also, they are very rude. If I can save one person from the turmoil of dealing with this terrible company it will be a good day. I will see if my attorney can be of any help in this mess. Auto Source of America is nothing but a scam. They take your money and they fail to honor the warranty that the consumer purchased. Instead of getting sucked into their scam, put your money in an interest bearing account and use it as needed for car repairs. In response to Denise Christian's smoke screen comment above, Auto Source will remain an "A" rating with BBB so long they comply with the arbitrators decision via arbitration and make such necessary repairs if the consumer should win. If the consumer should win, Auto source must comply or they will loose their "A" rating. They aren't "A" rated because they are a professional, honest establishment. It is also my belief, that they have an "A" rating according to the Better Business Bureau website because most consumers have no knowledge to contact BBB when there is a denial from Auto Source or the consumer simply gives up once AutoSource responds or rejects their complaint. There are consumers such as myself who is challenging Auto Source via Arbitration and we are confident we will WIN! Auto Source staff is rude and inept. The so called Director of Operations, Denise Chrisman fails to have any mechanical experience or education, she struggles to interpret their own contract, therefore, many claims are denied. I purchased the Gold package for my 2004 Silverado 4x4 when I purchased the used truck. After 3 problems filed I had 2 that they stated were not covered by the warrenty. Since 3 is a charm my final claim was to replace the steer gear assembly which IAW the contract is a covered repair. Once the claim was filed we were run through the wringer. they requested all service records, the registration and records showing all maintenance was performed, none of which had anything to do with the repair of my power steering. After an all day event volleying information back and forth the company declined the claim on the basis that I and my dealer did not provide sufficient documentation to show the truck was maintained properly. I paid $1500.00 a four year policy that by all accounts was by backup should I have issues with the truck, that included a surcharge because I have a 4x4 . What I ended up with was "TRASH" not worth the paper it's written on. You MUST AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COST!!! Based on other reviews I've read this seems to be the scam this company plays. I wanted to share a recent experience I had with the pro's over at Autosource of America. My wife and I purchased a vehicle in 2012...a Ford Explorer. We purchased the Lifetime Drivetrain warranty. Only several months after, our transmission started malfunctioning and, Autosource was there to cover a portion of this expense...fast forward to 2017, after many miles and lots of regular maintenance by us, our transmission let go again...I was apprehensive to even call but...just the same I did. I was very pleased by the coutesy of the two people I spoke with regarding my claim...after giving them the required maintenance documents, they fast tracked my vehicle through the process and, made it so easy to get my repairs completed. While we did pay more than half each time, we were very pleased with the amount they covered, I highly recommend this company for their service and I thank them for all their help during this tedious process of having the repairs done. read more

SCAM SCAM SCAM!!!!!!!! Wow this company is a BIG SCAM. I purchased warranty with them through Auto Gallery. Purchased Range Rover 2012 a couple weeks later the engine seemed loud so I took it to A LandRover dealer. The dealer stated that the noise was coming from The passenger side cylinder. They told me they needed to take it apart to see the exact parts that would need to be replaced. The mechanic called a representative from auto source and explained the situation. THEY TOLD THE MECHANIC THAT THEY DO NOT AUTHORIZE TEAR DOWNS AND THE CUSTOMER HAS TO AUTHORIZE IT. So the mechanic called me back and told me that auto source refused to authorize the tear down and that it's left for me to do so. Once I authorized them to do so they found that I needed a new passenger cylinder head(which is such a shame because I just bout the car in January as we are now in May). Once the mechanic drafted an estimate which came out to total $11,000 and sent it over to auto source the manger Christy or whatever the fuck her name is called me with a nasty attitude and said they are denying my claim because I authorized the tear down. Which is BULL SHIT because they specifically told the mechanic that they do not authorize tear downs and that it would be my responsibility. Now they won't even fix the actual problem which is something that is covered because it's listed under my policy. When I asked if I can start over and open another claim the stupid bitch told me that I have to fix the current issue before they can open any new claim and that they need receipts to show that I have fixed the problem. CAN YOU IMAGINE! She also suggested that they can gladly refund me the money I paid for the extended warranty. Why? Because they would happily refund me the little money that I spent with them instead of fixing the actual problem my car has, which costs way more money . THE MECHANIC AT LAND ROVER ALSO TOLD ME THAT HE HAD SIMILAR ISSUES WITH THIS SAME COMPANY A COUPLE OF TIMES INVOLVING OTHER CUSTOMERS. I also called the dealer that sold me the Lemon at AUTO GALLERY and told them the issue. They keep giving me the run around. This warranty is not even worth the paper it's printed on. I have the GOLD(4 years 48000 miles) package, it should be call the (junk package). Hear how the scam works, they will asked you to take your car to an authorized repair facility. They then send out the adjuster one and a half weeks later, wait for it...you then get the call "sir take out your policy we don't cover those things and the things we cover make sure you fix all the other things first. Then you say...Ha. O-by-the-way. The transmission you will need to take it to our facility, so they can open it and then we will tell you "we don't cover that either". Absolutely the worst. Any contract you sign with these guys is not worth the paper you sign, or the ink in which you sign with. The customer service is dreadful - claims remain open for days upon days upon days, delaying the repair of your car. So expect to spend lots of cash on a rental, and don't expect to be reimbursed. They do absolutely whatever they need to avoid paying for whatever repair is needed - whether it is a covered component or not, within the contract. Twice I was denied, to not only my surprise, but also my mechanics surprise based upon the interpretation of the contract. In the one occasion they did provide coverage, their contribution covered only approximately 1/3rd the total estimate! An estimate which was the lowest of 3 I received while shopping prices. Each mechanic generally shared the same opinion, Auto Source was screwing me. While expressing my displeasure to customer service, they were prompt to suggest there was nothing I could do, other than accept the little they did offer, vs nothing at all. Its crazy these guys can get away with what they do. Avoid the stress, stay away from this company. read more
