I have been an Auto Wrench customer since January 2013 and have gone there since for all of my maintenance and service needs. My First encounter with Auto Wrench on a COLD January day when I ran into a Misfire in my engine and needed a new coil and new plugs. Unfortunately it was a Sunday, and most Garages and Service locations in London were closed at 4pm. I called Auto Wrench and Johnny answered telling me that although the garage was closed, He would me more than happy to meet me at the shop to drop off my car, and even went as far as to loan me a car for a day to get to where I needed to be while my car was being fixed. 1 Day turn-around for the issue to be resolved and the best price in town by over $100! Second repair was on a Lower Ball Joint on my front wheel. Not only was the price much better than any other shop, it's the service at Auto Wrench that really makes you want to come back. I expressed concern that I had to be at work by 11:00 am, and I thought 9:00 when they opened might leave me a tight trip to work, so the mechanic with no worry offered to come in an hour early for me! It took him about a half hour to fix the car and I was on my way. Please give Auto Wrench a chance! They will NOT let you down! Even for routine maintenance it is extremely quick and affordable. LOCAL AUTO REPAIR RIPPED ME OFF. In the winter during some bad weather I accidentally slid into a curb and caused some minor damage to my from rim. Nervous i damaged my car, I took it to the nearest mechanic, Auto Wrench Sales & Service, 9 Euston Drive London, Ontario N6J1S3. A gentleman by the name of Johnny quoted me on a strut and spindle. Upon receiving my vehicle i felt that something was not quite right with the entire transaction. With a little further inspection, taking it to a mechanic, they showed that Johnny spray painted the strut to appear to be new. The bolts were still seized on with rust so the said replaced parts were never even touched. Upon confrontation, Johnny denied everything and said the the parts were his, but we was willing to replace the cost of parts but not labor. I know, it doesn't make sense. Owner mentioned he wanted no hard feelings and returned a portion of my money. Upon walking away feeling completely ripped of I requested the rest of my money. I was told that the money was for diagnostic and time, even though nothing was diagnosed and a rim was swapped to make my car just appear to be operable. After taking my case to the BBB, Johnny himself offered to pay the rest of the money if all of my comments and friends comments were redacted from his pages. After waiting over a month and not receiving my payment I am re-uploading all my negative reviews. Please do the same so no more people of London are ripped off. read more

I was going to buy a 2010 Honda Civic from this guy. Had my appointment booked and tried to move it up an hour so I could take it for a test drive to Midas up the road to check the safety and make sure it's worth buying. The guy immediately turned rude and told me I couldn't use my mechanic for an inspection because "he doesn't want his car at Midas because they don't like him and they won't say anything good about him." I asked why that is and he said it's just how it is we don't get along. He asked me to take it anywhere else. I told him that's not my problem and I won't be buying from him then. I had been an Auto Wrench client since 2012 approximately, I used to go to do oil changes , brakes maintenance, tire rods and muffler replacements. Their price is really affordable. But the last experience tough me that is better to pay a little be more and being safe than sorry. Last month my car overheated driving down on Wharncliffe RD and I finally could get to Auto Wrench. I told Johnny Wardini that the car overheated and smoke was coming from the engine, I also notice that it didn't had coolant. I left my car and Johnny add the coolant and fixed the gage. He call my friend to let us know the car was ready. We brought my friend's car for rear brakes job and picked my car up. Just 10 minutes away from the garage the car overheated again, When we got home I called Johnny to say that he didn't fix the problem because the car still overheating. At this moment I asked him to let us know when my friend's car would be ready from the breaks job to exchange the cars again. Just a week after the first incident I brought my car again and my friend suggested Johnny to replace the thermostat, radiator and coolant temperature sensor. Johnny replaced the parts that we suggested and he call my friend to let him know that the car wasn't working properly. Johnny suggested to replace the water pump and he also said that the car needed the head gasket fixed. My friend asked Johnny to do a comppresion test to check the engine before any extra job to avoid increase the bill ( head gasket would be 2500 dollars) Next two days Johnny called my friend to say that the car didn't pass the pressure test. Johnny also commented to my friend that I would be able to lease one of his cars and I could leave my car paying the debt from the repairs . He told my friend that I could take a week to think about it. Three days later he called to ask if we were going to fix the head gasket. My friend said no. We went to pay and pick the car up and I called CAA for a towed truck. After I paid Johnny , he asked me if I was going to send the car to the junk yard, ( I'm sure he was going to offer a couple of hundred dollars to buy it). We said we were sending the car to my friend's sister's house and we left. When we got to his sister's house we check the car and it did not had any coolant, two of the cables to the spark plugs were dusty that means he did not take them out for the pressure check. ??? My friend fix the car at his sister house, we test it, for an hour the first time and it didn't overheated. The second time he drove the car to Delaware and back and never over heated. Johnny if you have the time to read my review, let me tell you that my car is fine, we just drove the car to Burlington Ontario and did not overheated. I did not fell into your trap. The CAA driver told me that he already have picked up a few cars from your garage, CAA clients telling the same story and one of them trade his car to you instead to pay the debt, and you just wash those cars and sell them after for $4000 or $5000 dollars. Im from out of town and bought a car from jonny... at first he seamed like a nice guy!!!!! So i decided too buy a car from him for 4000$ saftied and etested.... so 2 weeks later and i had wires poking out my front tires... told him amd he replaced the 2 front tire for me.. took him 3 days too get 2 tires... so 40 days later i get off the highway and bam front springs broke!!!! Needless too say he did a bullshit saftey on my car!!!!! I will Never buy a car from him again and nor would i recommend anyone should stay clear of the guy he is a scammer for sure read more

This review is long but worth reading if you want to have an accurate idea about Auto Wrench and particularly his owner Johnny Wardini. I took my Dodge Caravan for oil change after I came across an ad on kijiji which stated 125 point inspection for $25 which is still posted on kijiji. I had actually booked an appointment and arrived there at 10:00 am accordingly. He changed the oil and grabbed the tires and turned them which I suppose was equivalent to the 125 inspection in his ad!!! That by itself should have given me a hint as to who I was dealing with but I guess I did not have my coffee yet that morning. He then asked me if I had a regular mechanic. I told him that I did not and he started drawing a rosy picture of his "great" service including how low his hourly rate of $55/hr is compared to others who charge $100/hr. He did a very good job convincing me that he is the right mechanic! I was a bit suspicious about that there were no other customers there and none of his 2 remaining bays were being used. However, I thought perhaps it is his not so great location and maybe being new in business led to lack of customers. I was dead wrong, however, because I learned after my bitter experience at that place that it was his DISHONESTY combined with low quality customer service that has deterred customers from coming back! Here is the story of my bitter experience. After I decided to give him a chance, I asked him to check my brakes pads and change them if necessary. After inspecting them he told me that the front pads and rotors have to be replaced. He showed me the rotors and insisted that they were not good. To me other than minor scratches they were still quite thick and the surface was OK. He insisted that changing the pads only is a thing of the past and nowadays every decent mechanic replaces both the pads and rotors. Unfortunately, I trusted him and asked him to give me a quote before I could proceed. He made a phone call for the required parts before telling me that replacing 2 pads and 2 rotors of the front of my Dodge Caravan costs $249 plus taxes. This number sounded too high to me and I told him that it was too much because I remember paying maximum of $150 for this kind of job in the past. He said OK I want you to be happy to come back, so I am going to charge you $205 plus taxes only; unfortunately I agreed! He ordered the parts and after 20 minutes the parts arrived. However, the pads were not the right ones and he had to call back to have his part supplier send him the correct ones. After 45 minutes wait I started to get anxious because I had an important meeting at 1:00 pm at work and the clock was ticking. I told Johnny that I had a very important meeting and had to be at work before 1:00 pm. He assured me that it was going to be a matter of a few more minutes and I will be on my way. He suggested that I make the payment to get that part out of the way to save some time! Unfortunately I was very stupid to agree to his suggestion, and I paid $264 including the oil change charge plus taxes. I noticed that he charged me $30 for oil change where I brought his kijiji ad to his attention but he refused to honor it despite that I showed him a print out of his ad. At any rate, I made the payment before I had to go through the frustration of waiting for more than 30 more minutes for the correct pads to arrive! At 12:30 pm I told him that I cannot wait any longer because I had a meeting at 1:00 pm but he said there no other choice but to wait. I asked him to put back my old pads and rotors and give me my money back but he refused and said that the time he spent taking off the tires was valuable! Basically, he held me and my car hostage and it was already too late to make it to my work meeting. During the time I was waiting for the pads to arrive, I had the chance to look at the receipt carefully to notice that he charged me 1.8 hours, which is 108 minutes, for replacing the pads and rotors whereas it took him less than 30 minutes for the actual work. The car was ready at 1:15 pm and I left there with unimaginable frustration mainly because of missing my important meeting and second for falling to Johnny's tricks and deception. After this experience, whenever I think about Johnny and Auto Wrench two words pop in my mind: dishonesty and greed! I gave him 1 star because it looks like I cannot give him less. I will never go back to that place again and I strongly recommend you not to even consider going there. Remember that feeling stupid is often more painful than losing money! read more

I would recommend Auto Wrench to all my friends. The mechanic takes time to explain the problem and step by step to fix the problem. Very efficient and always does there best. They have kept my vehicle on the road for years now. Go check them out. He had replaced the coil in my engine and in no time, I was able to make it back to work on time. He has also fixed my power steering and air conditioner within an amazing time frame. He always keeps me updated on the progress and always greets me with a smile and a handshake!! read more

I do not recommend this place or the owner, Johnny to anyone. He is a scam. He sold my boyfriend and I a 2001 Honda Civic in September of 2014. He seemed very polite and helpful. Little did we know that he would give us an illegal safety test which left us stranded on the side of the 401hwy 8 days after we got the car. We took the car to a shop that we have been going to for a very long time, we wanted someone we could trust. The mechanic said the car should never have been on the road. The problem was the timing belt and left ball joint. We were pretty angry with Auto Wrench so demanded he replace both for free, which he did. I wasn't going to even bother writing a bad review but now I feel I need to. We currently have our car in a Honda dealership for a new engine and just got a phone call that our left ball joint needs to be replaced because it is broken and was just welded into place! The Honda mechanic said that we are lucky that it hasn't gone on us yet and that what Johnny did is very illegal. Thankfully Honda said they would replace it for us for free for our own safety. I am writing this review for other safety. Auto Wrench clearly doesn't care for their customers but only what is in their pockets. read more
