Excellent Service Experience I saw the poor reviews on yelp and almost believed them. I discovered Autogermania through the global BMW website, where it's listed as a certified BMW repair center -- a reassuring find, especially as someone new to San Juan. From start to finish, the staff were friendly, professional, and helpful. My service was completed the same day, which was a pleasant surprise. The work included engine and brake oil service, new tires, wheel alignment, and a few minor repairs. While a courtesy car wasn't available, arranging an Uber was easy. When I returned, my X1 BMW was freshly washed and ready to go. I felt confident in the quality of the work and would definitely recommend Autogermania to other BMW owners. Yes, the service was expensive -- but every repair was pre-approved by me, so there were no surprises. Yeah as everyone has been mentioning in the previous reviews, I had a similar experience. Chaotic drop-off process. My vehicle was taken under their hostile custody for weeks with no response. They sent me a repair bill for 17k for basic struts and shockers, which at that time was more than my vehicle's trade-in cost! Very hard to reach the service provider. And if you don't want to pay them 17k for fixing your vehicle, they charge you 280$$$ for diagnostics only, which was never mentioned in the entire conversation with them. Overall as useless as most car dealers on the island!! read more

I visited Autogermana Service Center in Guaynabo last week for a simple oil change, but the service I received was anything but simple. After receiving a text that my vehicle was ready for pickup, I arrived only to wait over an hour before I could even get my car. When I finally got into my vehicle, I noticed two warning messages on the dashboard that weren't there when I brought it in. I immediately told the service advisor about the warning signs and explained that my car had no issues when I dropped it off--just an oil change. The response I got was completely unhelpful. The advisor brushed it off, saying they only changed the oil and filter, and suggested I just hadn't noticed the warnings before. I assured him that the messages weren't there when I arrived. Instead of offering a solution, he told me they could scan the car for fault codes but at a steep charge of $200--and I would have to leave my car with them for several days! This felt completely unreasonable. I understand accidents happen, but the lack of accountability and professionalism was disappointing. I would not recommend this service center if you're looking for transparency and good customer care. read more

Service is not good at all. They take forever with your vehicle, since they are the only service center they have too much volume and never have loner vehicles available. my partner has had to have his BMW X1 3 times in service center within one month because they cant service it correctly. First was general servicing (wheel alignment, balancing and noise in the tailgate) Second time was correction with wheel alignment cause steering wheel was positioned wrong and noise persisted and rear deferential was leaking Third time was to return the vehicle cause of tailgate noise continued (they said it's "frequent on bmw SUV's" well ok?) and because the repair to the differential was never done because they mistakes it for "rear grease on seats". the whole process was just horrible. The technicians never answer or give updates after a couple of days was finally given a loaner and guess what? The front tires has lumps and one of them teared. We tried to drive home at 40mph with the run flats but the tired just shredded leaving us stuck 40 miles away from home having to service a tow truck to service center which is 80 miles away on opposite direction to our home at 7:40pm on a Sunday mind you we had this vehicle for one day. Saturday to Sunday. After reaching BMW service center we had to get an Uber to a hotel. By the way the loaner was a Mini Cooper. On a positive note it was a fun little quirky car recommend it. Update: After a couple conversation where the manager wanted to charge both tires we had settle for paying for one at an undisclosed price then half an hour later was called and said they will be covering all the charges. I am pleased with the outcome due to the fact that they had accepted negligence in giving us a loaner that was fully inspected. read more

Buy Anything but a BMW in Puerto Rico. Had vehicle in 3 times for same problem which was a simple bluetooth phone connection issue and have not been able to find someone that is qualified to fix the problem. Though they are very polite and have a nice facility, Warranty issues will be ignored at this service center. Loaner cars are non-existent. Appointments take several weeks. Simple problems are turned into overcomplicated unresolvable circular problems that are unresolvable. I had even found a writer for Car and Driver magazine who published an article on this exact issue and helped guide me on how to resolve the issue and then passed that advice on to the service manager and they still were not able/unwilling to fix the problem. at least my car runs but none of the technical parts like the phone or navigation function. You may only get half of what you pay for. I could be meaner but I feel sorry for them and their incompetence. Don't give them your money--EVER! read more

I moved to PR and in the island has one BMW authorized service shop "Autogermana" I have no choice but to take it there. I had the experience with other BMWs service Shop in the US and Germany, but I never had a bad experience like the one I have in Autogermana every time I go. I'm afraid to take my vehicle there. I took it to repair a specific malfunction and always they tried to replace other components that are not damage or faulty. Furthermore, every time They have the job done and I have to pick up my vehicle they never conduct a final inspection. Alway the vehicle has something not properly installed or have the same maintenance message on the cluster On my vehicle las maintenance service cost me almost $7 Gs. When I went to pick up the vehicle after a total of 6 weeks in the shop for a replacement of the shocks and trust the vehicle was out of alignment with the raddled noice coming out of the A/C. Not only didn't conducted the final inspection. I drove the vehicle and when I park it I noticed the license plate has a dent and the front bumper was damaged. I called my service advisor to inform about the findings but after I talked to the supervisor Ms. Claudia, first she told me that was my fault because I didn't check prior to leave the shop thing they didn't do either, afterwards she agreed to look in it cameras system to look for facts. She promised to call me and show me, evidences that never happened. I'm still waiting for her response to prove me the incident didn't happen in the BMW shop. I want an excellent service for what I paid for. Be aware check you vehicle bumper to bumper before leaving the shop. read more

The drop off protocol is chaotic and disorderly. There is no inspections done to the vehicle in the presence of the vehicle owner. It was my first time. I am experiencing issues with the wipers and sensors of my new 2020 Countryman. I dropped the vehicle at 9:30AM and it wasn't until 12:20PM that I received a call from a service agent. The car was kept overnight. I was called the following date at 10:00 to informed me that the vehicle was ready. I got to there at 3:30 and it took them 30 minutes to deliver the vehicle. They left the vehicle parked in front of the entrance, about 10 minutes later young lady delivered an envelope with the invoice and left. I inspected the vehicle and found a crack in the driver's side light. I reported it to a worker who than went and informed my service agent. I waited 10 more minutes and Raul Aviles finally showed up. I informed him of the damage and he went in to check the pictures. I waited 10 minutes for him and when he came out, he presented me a printed blurry picture(no identifiable time on the foto) of supposedly the inspection foto where it supposedly shows the crack. The "inspection foto" is blurry and poor quality. This is unacceptable, especially since they have eliminated the physical and collaborative inspection between the owner and the service agent. This service Department is the worst that I have ever encountered. The vehicle was damaged and the issues were not completely resolved. read more

Horrible experience! Do not take your car here unless it is still under warranty! First! You NEED an appointment. (1-2 weeks) Once you car is accepted, it'll go through an "inspection" and diagnosis. (1-week and $140ph) In my case they misdiagnosed it. No apologies. Car had exactly the same problem after repair. Staff was aware of the mistake, and was not able to make it right at the moment. Car had to be rescheduled for another appointment. (1-2 more weeks) No refunds. Hopelessly disorganized! There are so many mediators between the mechanic and the person who you'll speak with that the information just doesn't flow. Sad. read more

Sketchy service. The guy from the Technical Service first quoted a $150 dollars for the installation of new parts and then after the service was completed he just said that it took longer than expected so they will be charging 185 dollars! Not recommending them read more
