My first Italian rest area stop, this one is located along the A4 as it passes north of Milan. Good signage on the highway to let you know that it is about three minutes ahead and then more as you get close to it. Having since visited others here in Northern Italy, the layout seems quite similar.
There is a short deceleration area that splits the cars from the trucks. The trucks probably could use more parking as it did not seem especially roomy for them. There is plenty of parking for cars.
Inside, a clean restroom (always a good thing) with a large shopping area. Coolers with juices and sodas and energy drinks (I didn't see any bottled water) and beer. A display of discounted local wine. Lots of candy and snacks for purchase both individual servings and larger collections to bring home.
There is a hot sandwich bar and a coffee bar for fresh brewed espresso. Remember, Italians generally don't take their coffee for a walk. Even at a highway rest area, it is consumed here from ceramic cups. A large seating area for eating.
Getting back onto the highway was okay with good visibility but a short acceleration ramp.
