Prices and conditions are very fair and also very clear, no hidden "suprises". Cars are nice, mostly I take the "K" category (Station Wagon with automatic transmission). Had a Hyundai, a Ford, a Mazda and a Citroen before. All were - apart from a few minor scratches - in nice condition. All the cars here had most available extras and gadgets. All had a rear view camera, which is great. When I rent I drive quite some miles with them, have them for several weeks sometimes. Never had any problems with any of the cars. And now as a Five-Star Gold member I get some extras like free upgrades. It's a nice customer loyalty programm. Besides that you can book the Super Cover, which means in a case of an accident you are fully covered without getting any charge. There are more insurances (passenger, luggage etc.) which you can add to your rental. GPS, safety seats for kids and much more is available as well. I always book on their own website. It's easy, fast and when you show up at the place, just a matter of minutes to get your car. Dropping the car on the return is as fast and easy as the pick-up. Always happy to rent here and will continue to do so.

He assisted us with being able to get mobile wifi while traveling in Switzerland and gave us a deal as well, or so he said. Highly recommend this company while choosing a car to travel in Switzerland. It is still unclear as to whether or not we needed a car, but since we got one, I'm glad it was here with Tunahan, whose service was excellent. Treat him well Budget!

There was a small episode at the counter when I picked up the car. The staff asked for my passport. However, it wasn't mentioned in the online form. It was a hiking trip and I was afraid that I will lose my passport so I only brought my drivers licenses and a digital copy of passport. However, the lady at the counter didn't say that the copy would work. Maybe we communicated in English and it's not her first language, it took her a long time for her to ask for the digital copy and accept it. It was a much smoother experience the week before at Avis.

We had an un-refundable destination to get to and had to buy train tickets and take a five hour train to our hotel, arriving at midnight - and the fact that our plans weren't ruined was all due to our industriousness, not assistance from Hertz. I requested a refund for this reason, and was told it's the nature of cars to break down, and we still had the car for a day. They were willing to spend hours fighting me on a refund, but no time trying to resolve us being stranded at night due to their faulty vehicle. I plan to never rent from any Hertz again due to their awful customer service. What a turn off.

I booked a car with Europcar through Expedia in January of 2025. The car rental was for the last…read moreweek in June 2026. The rental agreement could not have been clearer. I was to pay $428.28 USD for the week when I picked up the car. There was no reference to payment in Swiss Francs. When I picked up the car in June, Europcar charged me 379 CHF (I now suspect the equivalent value of $428.12 of Swiss Francs in January 2025). That sum (379 CHF) converted to $479.93 because of the devalued dollar. Now, I can well understand having to pay in Swiss Francs if my contract called for payment in Swiss Francs, and I would have done so without a thought. But my contract was in US Dollars only; there was never a reference anywhere in the contract to Swiss Francs; and I never agreed to pay Swiss Francs. Both Europcar and I agreed in a binding contract for payment in USD of $428.12. Long story short, I was taken for $50 dollars. This is a relatively small amount, but it is the principal of the matter, and this speaks volumes about the character of this company. I expected Europcar to be something much more than an extremely small and petty enterprise. Very disappointed!
