Popped down to Enfield to find they had two types - normal (460 crank amps for those who know what I'm talking about) at £80 and £90 for the heavy duty battery (510 CA) and they were asking £4.99 to fit it - I worked that out to be nearly £60 per hour fitting! I found them a bit pushy and desperate for me to buy the more expensive battery. Reluctantly I phoned my main dealer as a last resort before parting with £95. They had the heavy duty in stock, supplied fitted and VAT £80, saving myself £15 which I intend to spend down the pub on Friday - who says Main Dealers are pricey, well sometimes they are not.

And the…read moreatmosphere in here is a bit dingy and down, just like the interior of the shop, but they will go to great lengths to help you find the part you are looking for at the parts desk and with a staff of around 8 there is never long to wait before and advisor becomes available.Car Spares also sell paint at their special paint desk and they will also mix it in store to any colour you wish for, for a price. The store itself is old and basic and has a large selection of car related items from wash and wax to subs and amps. Not really a feminine place but then what would you expect from an old school car parts shop.

I have been out of the motor trade for yrs now but when i have needed spares and advice they have allways sorted me ! The wealth of expertice from the staff i guess most are ex motor mechanics would be hard to find if not impossible ! Well that is my thoughts on car spares,and i HATE TO ADMIT THAT COVERS FROM THE MID 1970"S to thev present day !

Lies Old battered…read morevans Hold ups even when attending appointment on time Dishonest eg.. they tried charging for 2 days when I had it for less then 24 hours but when I pointed this out they said ok and charged for 1 day Vans are also battered to shocking conditions.... mine didn't even have working seat belt on the driver side... Rude, unhelpful and the vans are in an appalling state. The first one he gave me had no functioning…read morelocks and the sliding side door failed to close properly (hanging on by the safety mechanism, not the locks) The company refused to replace the vehicle. I eventually swapped it over for an almost equally useless van two days later. Both were MOT failures which would no doubt invalidate any insurance taken out. Useless. Avoid at all costs.
