When queueing he was on his microphone saying "I can't be 3 f***ing places at once, if you can't come down here, close the f***ing doors". We were then seen, and we asked if a bulb could be changed and he said "5 minutes before closing?" "Do you think we would be able to do it 5 minutes before, with (he listed one current jobs being done)". We then replied "apologies we didn't know the store was closing but you could be a little nicer" and he said "could be" in a very condescending voice while turning is head and we said "should be" and then he echoed the same statement back saying "should be" and then started being very aggressive. Very unprofessional, patronising and antagonising. I am now having to find a solution elsewhere. The whole encounter was unprovoked and he spoke the same to other people in the queue.

This is a fatal combination for the idea of good customer service. I have usually found Halfords to have a good product range: the issue has always been finding a member of staff who knows what they are talking about and is a position to help you. I will not go near the Bedford store until they change their management to a team which actually does give a damn about their paying customers. This was not the case in the summer of 2010.

I went to Halfords to buy winscreen wipers for my Chrysler Voyager and where sold £29.00 worth of equivalents the wrong size and wrong fittings. I had to return them. The top gear chaps got out the right size told me I don't need the holders and fitted them for £3.40 now that has to be the deal of the century. I have know returned many times and had execelent service and the right product many times.

The service was questionable at all three with them blaming the metals inside the cat for the expense and being unsure which cat system was needed for my car. I went to max performance and they not only did they know what they where talking about but the they only charged £190. These guys are totally professional and honest ( yes an honest garage) and they will only a charge you a fair price for work that actually needs doing. Top job very happy. Without hesitation I drove straight to Halfords in Friern Barnet to purchase a replacement. Luckily enough the store doesn't stock my car mirror but they can order one for me at £14.99 (fitting not included in the price). On my way back I drove through East Barnet Village and noticed Falcon Motor Accessories store; I stopped by, I was served a gentleman who was incredibly helpful; he really went the extra miles to help me. He came out of store to see my car and recommend a replacement mirror (priced under £5). That is not all; he returns to my car and help me to remove the damaged mirror and fit the replacement at no extra cost. I feel guilt that I am only writing this feedback now. From now on Falcon would be my first point of call for any motoring assistance.
