After the assessement the telephoned for permission to work and only did the work I authorized them to do. "low marks for that ever-so-important professionalism"…read more Funny, how things come back to bite you. It wasn't too long after writing this review that a friend failed his car inspection. Holes in the roof of his car, as Jagger pointed out, needed welding. Welding quickly turned into a shattered windshield. From there, the professionalism started to spiral. For whatever reason, Jagger had completely ruined the back windshield. And despite his efforts to tape a piece of cardboard in place, it was a far from fair alternative to providing a rental. Sure, the repair was covered by his insurance (despite his efforts to wiggle out of them) but what was not covered, was any solution for my friend to drive his car away without a gaudy, unsafe and unsecured piece of paper for a windshield. To make matters worse, the welding job had left horrible burn marks on the interior of the car. The top was covered with a bubbled, off-center piece of black film. His so-called work visibly lowered the value of the car. His unwillingness to provide customer service and a proper solution was appalling, and his proposed fix of a cheap tape-job was detrimental to keeping at least two customers. By far his attitude of the whole situation was the tipping point, and what will lead me to bring my business elsewhere.

My experience with Micha's Autoservice was a combination of quality workmanship and inconsistent…read morecustomer communication. I brought my truck in after it failed inspection due to two issues: the handbrake and the right reverse light. From the beginning, I provided everything the shop requested, including my USAREUR registration, VAT form, and the official inspection failure report. I understood that some replacement parts had to be ordered from the United States, and I never expected the shop to control shipping times or unexpected mechanical complications. My concern throughout the repair was not the delay itself; it was the communication. As the repair progressed, I often had to initiate contact to obtain updates on my truck. When I asked whether the remaining parts had arrived and requested an updated completion estimate, some of my questions were met with defensive responses rather than straightforward customer service. During one conversation, I was asked whether I expected to be informed about "every single screw" being moved on my vehicle. I was also told that accepting my truck without an appointment had been "a favor," even though the shop had agreed to perform the repair. From my perspective, I was simply trying to obtain timely and accurate information so I could plan accordingly. Had proactive communication been provided from the beginning, I believe much of the frustration experienced by both parties could have been avoided. To the shop's credit, communication improved significantly during the latter part of the repair. I began receiving shipment tracking information, regular status updates, explanations regarding the wheel bearing repair, and advance notice when the truck was ready for pickup. When I collected the truck, some of the repairs were explained to me before completing payment. Most importantly, the repairs were successful. My truck passed its follow-up inspection without any issues, confirming that the mechanical work was completed correctly. Good customer service is measured not only by the quality of the repair, but also by how customers are treated and kept informed throughout the repair process. Micha's Autoservice clearly has capable technicians, and I hope they continue building on that by providing more consistent communication from the beginning of every repair. Although the repair itself met my expectations, the overall customer experience did not. For that reason, I believe a three-star rating fairly reflects both the quality of the repair and the level of customer service I received.

I mention to them about the wrap and they said the paint needs to dry for 3 months prior to wrapping the car so that it doesn't create bubbles which I said that's fine I can wait. Upon receiving my estimate from my insurance company in an email chain that includes the insurance company, myself, and Michas, the estimate excludes the costs for a wrap and new spoiler that is covered by the insurance company. I replied all about the person conversation that was held between myself and Michas regarding the wrap, to make sure everyone is on the same page and no one is blind sided and ensure that there is paper trail and proof so that wrapping actually does happen (you never know). This morning (26 Nov) I received an email in German from Michas that I assume was intended for the insurance company that was unprofessional and disrespectful. (I've attached the email both in German and its translated version for your entertainment for privacy I've redacted certain information). After receiving that email I'm not 100% comfortable in the lack of integrity that Michas has and requested to take my business elsewhere.
