Since moving to Fort Wayne nearly a year ago, I'd been hesitant to find a new mechanic--I had someone I really trusted before relocating, and finding that kind of service again can be tough. Thankfully, Chips Auto Repair exceeded every expectation. They diagnosed the problems quickly--turns out I needed all four brake pads replaced, new spark plugs, and a repair on my right front axle. I'm not very knowledgeable about the cost of car repairs, but I didn't find their pricing to be expensive at all, especially considering the amount of work that was done. Everything felt fair and transparent. What really stood out was their outstanding communication. They kept me updated every step of the way, explained everything clearly, and made sure I understood what was going on. They even worked around my schedule, letting me drop off my car when it was convenient--and they had everything done the same day. It's rare to find a mechanic that's both skilled and trustworthy. They then took my car to the shop still promising it would be returned and fixed for me for work in the morning. Called them at 1 am 10xs before they answered and told me they got a "defective" part from auto zone and cant fix it. Told me they'd be back in a half hour with my car and it took them 2 hours to bring back my car unfixed. What a joke.
