I couldn't taste the coffee and I had to beg for some sugar. They gave us one tiny sugar package each, I guess they were trying to save sugar for the pastries. Stick to the pastries, pass on the coffee. We threw away the two "cappuccinos". I'd still go just for their extremely good pastries and ignore the poorly trained staff.

The apricot tarte wasn't too sweet and it really let the apricot flavor shine. The pistachio eclair was sweeter but not too heavy nor the frosting or cream inside grainy/sugary. The tart sweetness of raspberries on top helped brighten the pistachio cream. The choux pastry for the shell was light and airy. Their pasteis de nata was also a nice surprise. After eating many pastel de nata in Portugal earlier this year, I can genuinely say Antoinette's version is right up there with the best of them! Perfectly flakey buttery crust and a lightly sweet egg custard cream....so good!

The macarons rival Thomas Keller's Boulange beauties - the almond cookie is gently firm, quickly giving way to my greedy teeth - and the buttercream and/or ganache is rich, dense, and perfect. I only bought three for immediate consumption, which was really two more than someone w a normal appetite should eat in a single sitting, but probably four fewer than I could have polished off in the span of five minutes. If pastries aren't your thing, you fail - but...they also have excellent looking breads - there were a few adorbs French families loading up on loaves - and they also have sandwiches. Prices are super reasonable - baguette for €2.5, slices of cake for the same, and I think all pasties for under €5. I know that it's a chain - but really excellent macarons. On Sundays the line to get the baguette is out on the street. Variety of breads, "Plats prepares" from quiches (so many option), salade maison, saumon a l'oseille, amazing, tasty and just delicious patries. Their croissants, chausson aux pommes, croissants aux amandes are to die for. On week-ends the pastries are always warm because of the orders flow, pastries don't have time to be displayed too long :-) For Christmas they have a large selection of breads, I will recommend to order it couple days prior so you can just pick it up on the D day. For some French occasion like 1- "la Fetes des Rois" they have the famous "Galette des Rois" with a little "collector feve inside" and a gold crown. Younger i used to collect them whoever get the feve, get the crown !! the Galette is made of almond cream in a puff crust. 2- "Buches de Noel" for christmas and New Year. They offer the open of cake Buche or iced Buche. Their buche (cake's one) is not too heavy creamy, I enjoy the Grand Marnier one or the Fruits one. 3- Easter, the pastry Chef always designs the cholocate Easter egg, they also do the "friture" those small chocolate of fish, turtle, schrimp in white chocolate, milk chocolate, dark chocolate or orange chocolate.
