Absolutely one if the best French pastries places!! You have to check it out if you are in Paris! I lived in the area for a week and every single pastry was just amazing! Pain aux raisin was one of my fave, I haven't found anywhere in the US as well made compare to this shop! The only reason I gave to 4 stars because the elder lady who works in the shop was real rude! Wow. She couldn't bear to talk to you even you tried to speak French to her, don't even try English. However, other staff were super nice. This boulangerie (bakery) was the closest to my hotel and 1 of the 3 that I visited on my recent trip to Paris. It was extremely popular with locals whenever I visited. They had a fantastic display of pastries, but each time I visited, I always ordered a chocolate croissant. The chocolate croissants here are so buttery and flaky. It's unlike anything I have tried in the USA. Each time I ordered one, I could tell that it was freshly made. There isn't as much chocolate in the croissant as I was hoping for, but the delicious tasting croissant makes up for it. Conveniently located near the Rue de Cler street (famous for cafes, farmer markets, bakeries), this is a great boulangerie to go to pick up some baked goods and enjoy a picnic in the park near the Eiffel Tower. read more

Super busy bakery right by our AirBNB. We stopped by here almost every other morning during our week in Paris. Delicious chocolate croissants, sandwiches, cakes, and pastries. My absolute favorite thing was the "chouquettes." They're like tiny puff pastries with little sugar balls on them. I made the mistake of only getting 4 the first time. We went back the next time and bought 20 more..! They do not speak English and are a little terse when trying to help you, but let's just throw that up to how busy they alway are. read more

Butter croissant is amazing!! Way better than USA and less heavy/buttered (which I hate). Everything about it was absolute perfection -- so light, flaky, and fresh. Chocolate almond croissant and chocolate pistachio brioche were also amazinggg. Both were very moist and rich inside and very chocolate-y ;) However, I gotta say the chocolate almond croissant I got in Montreal, Canada is better (lighter and flakier, not so buttery and rich). Plain chocolate croissant was ok, nothing remarkable about it -- I'm pretty surprised by my reaction to that one since I always LOVE chocolate. It just tasted flat (bread was not as flaky and the chocolate boring), compared to other croissants and pastries we tried at the store. Chausson aux Pommes was okay, really too much like normal applesauce plus a crusty shell, nothing great about it at all. I thought it'd be more varied in texture (with slices or bits inside), but it was all pureed. As for savory sandwiches, jambon (ham) & gruyere sandwich was all right but better when warmed. Sauccison (sausage) with pickle was great, definitely better than ham. Espresso is great, very strong and smooth. read more

Omg we had the best experience here! Another gem that we stumbled upon in Paris. We had the pave omelette and croissants, and of course we got a baguette too! The greatest variety and quality of sandwiches I've found around the 7th! Their moelleux choco-framboise is my absolute favorite in all Paris. Honestly a pretty below average pastry shop. We got a croissant, a chocolate croissant, an eclair and a baguette. The first three were all just average. The baguette was hard and clearly not freshly baked. Maybe we just went too late in the day and everything had been sitting out for awhile, but overall not that great even though it was cheap. read more

We walked to the bakery in the morning for breakfast where we got Bageutte Tradition, Croissant and Baguette Cereal- all delicious. The bread had perfect crusts and were even still warm from the oven! Baguette was a standard baguette, Croissant, delicious not too rich, flan was rich, decadent regret not buying more along with the apple tart. I bought a ham and cheese quiche and a raspberry creme brûlée. They were both delicious. Prices were reasonable. Fast service. This place was always packed, but the line moves quickly. This place was always busy with a line out the door some times of the day. The service was good and they did speak some English. They were always quick to help. We had the same pastry, pain aux raisin, at several shops and theirs was the best. The croissants were light and flakey. They also have the normal bread which was also great and fresh.
