The staff are awesome. They genuinely are interested in your comfort and health. The admin staff are amazingly efficient. I am very glad my wife and I came here for our needs. read more

The service is too slow. Plus the hospital is full of sick people and it's dirt. Quality of the hospital is low.

The minute he saw him, he knew it was shingles (keratitis). This condition is very serious and we had to move fast to avoid permanent damage to his eye. Dr Ribeiro prescribed medication and referred us to the CUF hospital to consult an ophthalmologist. Our phone was not working in Portugal so, Michele, at the front desk, worked hard to get through and was able to get us an appt for the next morning. We had not realized how serious his condition was. I cannot stress how lucky we were that Dr Ribeiro accepted to see him at the end of his work day. He saved his eye and we are forever grateful! Thank you for caring! Shirley and Clarence

Not only did the doctor call me a liar he told me I shouldn't be taking the medication! I'm a 70 woman with osteoarthritis. Not only that...they charged extra because of the pandemic. Needless to say, avoid this place at all cost.

Overall, I felt like the care I got there was very good. They did bloodwork, x-rays and put in an IV and hydrated me with saline. Everyone was very nice and very professional. I have a few tips: the only part that was really chaotic was figuring out how to register; you take a number but you also have to fill out a form. so if you go here and they call your number, ask them if you need to fill out a form. We ended up waiting for about four hours for them to call my name or the number I had and then I was informed that they wouldn't call it unless I had filled out the form, but no one had told me that. But I want to reiterate that once I got seen by a doctor and triaged, I felt like the care was very professional and good. One other tip: there is no water fountain here. And the machines that sell bottled water do not take credit cards so make sure you have coin in euros so you can buy water during your wait. Please note that this is a busy public city hospital.
