My wife and I were in Lisbon on a visit. I had an flare up of an impacted molar that caused a lot of pain. It turned out it was infected and required removal and treatment. I didn't know if I could do a "walk in" and we went early on a Friday. Not only was the staff very friendly but they got me in right away. Dr. de Oliveira was kind, efficient, explained the procedure, and was very friendly. I felt very comfortable and in good hands. The cost was no way close to what you would pay in the states for quality dentistry. They honor their approximate fees that I saw on the reviews here on Yelp. I was visiting Lisbon from the US when a molar crown came off. I found Dental Face via Yelp - they had one 5 star review and were close to my hotel. I couldn't ask for better service. It's a excellent modern practice. Everyone I met spoke perfect English. Dr de Oliveira has fine credentials - Graduate work at NYU. He took ample time to evaluate the situation, explain his findings, and resolve the problem. The panoramic X-ray machine was new to me, and I have been going to very high end dentists in LA and SF. Instead of taking 8 views using uncomfortable "bite this" digital sensors, you stand for seconds in a device that images all teeth in one pass. The image was sent to me via email to pass on to my dentist at home, and they even offered to burn a CD. They quoted a pleasantly reasonable price on the phone, and that was what they charged, even though I suspect it was more work than simply gluing the crown back as expected. If yelp had 6 star reviews, they would deserve one. Note that the office is on the third floor of a large center with shopping on the lower floors. The obvious elevators don't go past the second floor. You have to find the set of office elevators. Just show the address in Yelp to anyone in the shops and they will point you in the right direction. It's a little subtle to find. Keep asking and you'll get there. read more

The crown work is impeccable and Dr. Duarte Olivera's work was excellent. The staff treated me with great care and because my Portuguese is VERY limited, the staff spoke English with me.
