After my home was burnt to the ground in Lahaina fires , lost friends and my favorite place to call home . Every single thing I owned photo albums, memories priceless things . Bankruptcy case we are now being told we may not even collect on or see our full amount awarded to us by the trustee of the courts dispensing the monetary damages. I am "represented" by AVA in one of their class action suits for the last several years and still pending. Though Mr. Arsdale broadcasts an email once a week, beyond that, there are actually NO CASE UPDATES on the AVA website, nor does anyone actually answer and emails or phone calls. It is not like I need or want hand holding. However, when some big event is announced by the Court for instance on a Monday, AVA never responds until the perfunctory Friday email update. I get it. Tort lawyers get (collusive) fees that average at least 33% of the recovery. However, it is also true that AVA petitions the Court regularly for fees and expenses - which the Court routinely grants. I do not find AVA either efficient or effective. For one, they do not seem big enough to handle class actions with thousands of class participants. It seems a clear case (no pun) of holding down costs and boosting profits to the Principals at the expense (another no pun) of the clients. read more

I spoke to someone, and they have been calling but I cannot see any settlements on the website everyone on the reviews tends to talk about how courteous they are but there is no real action in settlements. read more

Andrew is a scam artist. Not a real lawyer who tries cases in front of a judge. He is a telemarketer, who wrangles clients together for other attorneys. He lied to me and many other men. Told me I'd be getting over a million dollars from the Boy Scouts bankruptcy, then later on urged me to take a $3500 "quick claim" payout. Had ringers on his YouTube channel to coax others into accepting this sham payout. And he has already moved on to his next tort mass claims victims. read more

I'v been a client of AVA since 2019 (Boyscout lawsuit) and I know the length of the lawsuit is not their fault; but WHAT IS their fault is their apathetic customer service. I don't think there has been a call I've placed in the entire 5 year span where whatever I called about actually got answered or resolved. it always take numerous phone calls and extremely long wait times to ever find anything out. If they say they will call you back when they know the answer - they won't. They NEVER HAVE. A current example; several weeks ago when it was time for the settlement disbursement I had asked if I could get it direct deposited instead of a check; I was told that's no problem! For a small $25 fee of course. But when it was disbursement time the lady I had been talking to back and forth for weeks; (her name was Aurora )sent me an email saying my check would be mailed soon! I wrote her back and reminded her I needed direct deposit. I emailed her several times WITH NO RESPONSE. So I called and asked for her but she never seemed to be available. I finally got to speak to someone else (Hailey) who told me - "No Problem! we do direct deposits on Mondays and Wednesdays- (This conversation was on Thursday) and I was reassured that if I turned in my DD info, they would be able to put me in the "Monday pile". But Hailey initially just sent the permission slip but not the actual part that has my banking information so I had to call back AGAIN then they sent me the other part of it. I still had it all sent in by Friday. Did I get the money sent to me on Monday ? Nope. Today is Wednesday- did they send it today? NOPE. And guess what? None of the people that can help me with this is "available " Hailey and Aurora? Nowhere to be found. And whoever I talk to when I call NEVER has the authority or even the MEANS to be able to look into this and help me. I am always polite- and yet i get put on hold for 20-30 minutes (seriously ) while they "check into it" after about 30 minutes they either hang up or the call gets dropped. Every time I call I have to repeat everything that's happened to this point- just to hear them tell me that they will look into it and call me back. Did I mention that this "law firm " has literally NEVER RETURNED A PHONE CALL IN 5 YEARS??? If you want info about your case you will need to call them RELENTLESSLY.. I know this was a long review/ I just hope if you read this far you will look for another attorney. read more

Was told in November we had a settlement offer filled out the release and waited in December told to fill out a different release waited nothing called in January to be told I was in the first group and funds were in nothing Then called back found out I wasn't in the first group was in the second but funds were to be in anytime nothing very disappointed in this group not very professional wish I had chosen a different attorney still no check and they are taking over 40% of the settlement. read more
