CHRIS A. NEVER RENT…read moreFROM HERE: Unless you do NOT mind throwing your money away! Your utilities from the hall way lights, heat, air conditioner, party room, fitness room, etc. is also included in your apartment utilities, YES! You are paying Neon's electricity, including your own! The deals to stay there to sign another lease is one sided, either you sing again, or else....Yep, we never got our $600.00 altogether cat fee and two people also signing a damage fees. They never gave us a check out sheet, on what to clean, and they never said anything to us after move out. BUT, then later we get a letter that we owe more money for damages....WHAT!?!? Peoples dogs bark in the middle of the night, pot smoking on every floor, paper thin walls, and you can hear people talking underneath you, or next to you. THE WORST PART: About 4 years ago, someone at Neon was hiding a bunch of Somalian gangs, and one day in the afternoon, on a Saturday, there was 7 police cars surrounding the apartment complex with their guns out, and pointing at about 10 of them crooks. Made them go to the ground with their hands behind their heads, and escorted to the police cars and were arrested, put in jail. Again, the apartment complex never told any of the tenants a thing, what the hell was going on....I think they were covering it all up because of all the WOKE SHIT going on, and way to embarrassed allowing that many criminals to live in the building without a background check!!!! THE POLICE were also called a lot because of all the theft, loud people after 10PM., and sometimes the police would park in the parking lot, waiting for someone again, and again. NEVER felt safe living there to be honest....I'm in my mid fifties now, and live in a retired home, so much quieter, cheaper, and people are a little better on the more friendly side as well!!!!

Barnswallow birds try and attack you if you go out on your patio Nobody says hi to each other. I don't know if it's just this generation but passing people in the hallway no not even gonna get a hi. When we first moved in, I requested to have a icemaker changed out in my freezer and they said that they had one on order and they were gonna fix it the following week nope I never got an icemaker, all I got where scratches on the floor from the maitnence guy moving the fridge!! The smells in the hallways are disgusting. I don't know if there's no ventilation system, but you can literally smell everyone smell. If you're napping and don't answer the door for maintenance, they will just enter. How is this legal???? The pool is disgusting!!! I literally watched a girl pull a CONDOM out of the water!!!!!!!!!!!!! There are kids swimming in it everyday!! So nasty!! I have moved out of neon apartments now and have received $13 deposit returned to me because I wasn't able to clean the hard water spots off my sinks!!!! I was supposed to get over $500 deposit back and to receive only $13 for not cleaning my sinks it's ridiculous!! After I called complaining they told me "I could've requested a walk thru" to not get charged!!! "It is possible to get the hard water spots off, there's cleaners out there" Do not move here!! It's a scam! Reach out to me with questions!! Glad to answer any about this nasty place!!

I had to move back in with my mom due to health with my developmental delays. The building that I was in always seemed clean. The caretaker who cleaned stayed on top of the cleaning. The maintenance workers came quickly if something needed fixing like appliances. I am proud to say that the safety features were always being updated and fixed especially after a fire in the building. I have never seen maintenance workers working so hard on trying to have Cedarvale Highlands a safe and good place to rent. I loved how much space there was in a one bedroom and I totally loved the arch ways in the hall and kitchen. When ever something happened the manager Holly was quick to help like the storage locker break ins right next to my unit and how she got a new lock for my storage locker. Cedarvalle Highlands was my very 1st apartment renting by myself. The neighbor down below me told my mom when she was helping me move out that I was very quiet. I loved living there. I had the peace and quiet living there unlike some other apartments. Only if I could go back. The one thing that changed since living there is that they don't take section 8 and that hurts a person who is vulnerable and needing help with housing.

Warning. This place is one headache after another. Rent at your own risk…read more Let's start with the apartment's themselves. Apartments are outdated 20+ years, and not worth the $1200.00 a month for a 1 bedroom. Heaters along the baseboards that you can not control yourself because the building pays for the heat. The thermostat don't function within your apartment, so be prepared to freeze during the winter like I'm doing right now on the coldest week of the year with the kitchen oven door open. Yes I'm a current Resident. Dose not have forced air. Air conditioner are mounted in the walls and dose not circulate at all. The living room with the unit is the only room to stay cool. The laundry rooms have 3 washers and 3 dryers. The machines that don't have an out of order sign on them are always occupied for days at a time. Resident will just leave there laundry in the machines for day's forcing the other residents to use the Laundromat. Buildings are NOT secured. They're supposed to be but the residents and their children like to leave the doors to the building propped opened everyday. I'll add at this point no amount of complaining will correct any of these issues. They also take absolutely no responsibility for any legit concerns or complaints. Looking through the previous 1 star ratings. I can confirm first hand that they are factually correct from the construction allegations to noisy neighbors and staff no matter how much they try to counter or deny it. (I have text, photo's, and video from the last year of living here to support the facts of this review. They are available upon request via Email.) Management will post flyers saying apartment inspections, or snow removal for specific dates and times so you can make accommodations only for them not to show up at all. Few days later receive another flyer and the process repeats is self. Just on one incident last year I had this happen to me 4 times in a row and I still have the flyers and video to prove it. This is just a sample of the aggravations you'll experience here. But I think I'll leave this review with the Icing on the cake. February 8th 2021. Last week. While I was sleeping, my vehicle was rear ended in the parking lot of River Ridge Apartments. Considerable damage. When I went to start my car in the morning there was a note pinned to my window from the lady at fault. (God bless her) Dealing with the insurance and rental company while the car is being repaired was painless. I returned home with a rental car and parked by the rental office on Friday Dec. 12th. I took a few pics of the rental car and explained the situation via message and sent it to the management. I received a message back saying thanks for letting them know and they'll update the information. They had the rental car towed then Quickly left the rental office for the weekend. Leaving me on the coldest week of the year to walk to cub foods for my dinner at -20 below and they are still refusing to take responsibility for jumping the gun. This is how they treat their tenants. Regardless of the outcome of this matter. Do yourself favor and learn from my Regretful Mistake. Avoid at all costs. Freezing and Frustrated. -Still Stranded- "Attached photos are of the base heaters, air conditioner, and construction (taken form videos).
