Your utilities from the hall way lights, heat, air conditioner, party room, fitness room, etc. is also included in your apartment utilities, YES! You are paying Neon's electricity, including your own! The deals to stay there to sign another lease is one sided, either you sing again, or else....Yep, we never got our $600.00 altogether cat fee and two people also signing a damage fees. They never gave us a check out sheet, on what to clean, and they never said anything to us after move out. BUT, then later we get a letter that we owe more money for damages....WHAT!?!? Peoples dogs bark in the middle of the night, pot smoking on every floor, paper thin walls, and you can hear people talking underneath you, or next to you. THE WORST PART: About 4 years ago, someone at Neon was hiding a bunch of Somalian gangs, and one day in the afternoon, on a Saturday, there was 7 police cars surrounding the apartment complex with their guns out, and pointing at about 10 of them crooks. Made them go to the ground with their hands behind their heads, and escorted to the police cars and were arrested, put in jail. Again, the apartment complex never told any of the tenants a thing, what the hell was going on....I think they were covering it all up because of all the WOKE SHIT going on, and way to embarrassed allowing that many criminals to live in the building without a background check!!!! THE POLICE were also called a lot because of all the theft, loud people after 10PM., and sometimes the police would park in the parking lot, waiting for someone again, and again. NEVER felt safe living there to be honest....I'm in my mid fifties now, and live in a retired home, so much quieter, cheaper, and people are a little better on the more friendly side as well!!!!

Barnswallow birds try and attack you if you go out on your patio Nobody says hi to each other. I don't know if it's just this generation but passing people in the hallway no not even gonna get a hi. When we first moved in, I requested to have a icemaker changed out in my freezer and they said that they had one on order and they were gonna fix it the following week nope I never got an icemaker, all I got where scratches on the floor from the maitnence guy moving the fridge!! The smells in the hallways are disgusting. I don't know if there's no ventilation system, but you can literally smell everyone smell. If you're napping and don't answer the door for maintenance, they will just enter. How is this legal???? The pool is disgusting!!! I literally watched a girl pull a CONDOM out of the water!!!!!!!!!!!!! There are kids swimming in it everyday!! So nasty!! I have moved out of neon apartments now and have received $13 deposit returned to me because I wasn't able to clean the hard water spots off my sinks!!!! I was supposed to get over $500 deposit back and to receive only $13 for not cleaning my sinks it's ridiculous!! After I called complaining they told me "I could've requested a walk thru" to not get charged!!! "It is possible to get the hard water spots off, there's cleaners out there" Do not move here!! It's a scam! Reach out to me with questions!! Glad to answer any about this nasty place!!

I had to move back in with my mom due to health with my developmental delays. The building that I was in always seemed clean. The caretaker who cleaned stayed on top of the cleaning. The maintenance workers came quickly if something needed fixing like appliances. I am proud to say that the safety features were always being updated and fixed especially after a fire in the building. I have never seen maintenance workers working so hard on trying to have Cedarvale Highlands a safe and good place to rent. I loved how much space there was in a one bedroom and I totally loved the arch ways in the hall and kitchen. When ever something happened the manager Holly was quick to help like the storage locker break ins right next to my unit and how she got a new lock for my storage locker. Cedarvalle Highlands was my very 1st apartment renting by myself. The neighbor down below me told my mom when she was helping me move out that I was very quiet. I loved living there. I had the peace and quiet living there unlike some other apartments. Only if I could go back. The one thing that changed since living there is that they don't take section 8 and that hurts a person who is vulnerable and needing help with housing.

After touring over 10 apartments, I made my mind immediately right after walking into the unit that Megan presented to me. The living room, bedroom and walk-in closet are a lot larger, not mention the lovely balcony, indoor swimming pool, saner, cinema room and lots of nice public space for all the residents. Finding an apartment that can meet one's expectations won't be easy! Durham Apartment has almost everything that I am looking for. I really appreciated the great help and wonderful service that Megan provided to me. It was such a pleasure working with her and her team. I was told that they received numerous applications that week and they would get mine out by the next day. When I received the lease, I noticed that there was no mention of the underground parking or storage. I sent an email back letting them know what was missed on the lease. They will have multiple days for inspection where you're supposed to keep your pets in your home locked up in a cage from 9-5 (typical working hours) or else you'll be written up. And when it's time to move out because you don't like the place they'll charge you insane and false move out fees. I lived there for one year and the carpet was in fine condition when they charged me $2,000 in damages for carpet, blinds, etc. Complete bullshit. She is the worst property manager for many reasons; she claims that she walks around the property but it's obvious that she doesn't based on no improvements being made. Does not take criticism well, she will hunt you down and send you a rude email for giving her a low review. If you can't take criticism on how to improve, then you shouldn't work here let alone harass residents. Whenever I come to the office, Heidi would be on her phone while Kiara is busy helping with residents. She would see us and not offer to help. Very unprofessional for a manager. She makes it hard for us residents to reach out to her because in her eyes, she finds it as a nuisance especially if it's something going out of her way. So instead she would make us wait for Kiara when clearly she can do it too. There would even be times where Heidi doesn't even know how things work around the property and claims that she does. It's obvious she doesn't. She also has the tendency to leave early; whenever I try to see her to discuss about my unit, she's out for the day. Then when she's on vacation, she would tell us residents that she will resolve our issues when she comes back but in reality, she doesn't and gets annoyed when mentioned. I want to appreciate all the hard work Kiara and the maintenance team do for this property. Kiara would make sure our needs are heard and would do whatever she can to help. She always greets with a smile and creates a comfortable atmosphere. Q and Andy are an amazing maintenance team; they respond to requests quickly which is very much appreciated! I highly think Avana West Park needs a new property manager that takes their job seriously and ACTUALLY helps residents vs having someone who is immature, lazy, and rude. Thank goodness we have people like Kiara, Q, and Andy; always helping residents when in need!

With little prior notice the management made "a deal" with Comcast that essentially doubled the costs of service. Most of us are sure there is a "rebate" to management involved. Just today they announced that when leases are up for renewal tenants will start to pay for water, trash, sewer separately. Until now those charges have been included in the rent. We'll all have to wait and see what the new management will try to squeeze out of tenants in terms of new rents. I am far from optimistic. Don't misunderstand, please.
